Everything. Especially location, staff and their hospitality, mind-blowing food. We stayed at room numbers 102 and 103. Spacious big rooms with excellent view of a huge stream besides the balcony. Can't describe how amazing it looked during monsoon. Tea, coffee making facilities were provided in the room. Toiletries were present. Everything was neat and clean( sheets, towel). We loved the breakfast provided by them, it was plenty and fantastic. Really helps as we had long day tours. Cook cooks 👏 We would surely try and visit them again and recommend it our fellow travelers. Monica, Mary, the cook , Manager : Thanks to all of you for taking great care of us.

Property was very nice, little away from the main town but nice view. Restaurant provided excellent food - both Chinese and Indian were good. The room was large, as was the bathroom. Excellent geyser. Bath stool was provided which is useful for placing change of clothes.

Very clean, neat and comfortable room. The cleanliness was the same as Japanese hotels and it made the stay very comfortable. They provided a fluffy and warm blanket and an electric stove for free, so I was able to stay warm in the room even in the cold January. The front faces the street, but there are some security cameras installed, so I was relieved. The staffs, especially the son who can speak English, were very kind and helpful.

The owner was with plenty of hospitality. He helped me do a trek to Living Bridges and the rainbow waterfalls. He had contacts with drivers and guides. The room was spacious and well-maintained though the price was affordable. Hot water was available for a bath. It was just a 7-minute walk to the city center where I could take a shared cab to Shillong. The owner told me the proper fare.

They had cheated us, after reached there they informed us that they don't have lights.... But before going there I called up them so many still they not informed us... They advice to take there friend homestay, which was completely located on wrost and dirty place... Rooms get smelling...they took full charge were we stayed for 3 hours only. We stay in K J Homestays

    Trek to single decker and double decker root bridge was awesome. Arwah caves provided us with an experience of limestone caves However, most of the water falls in an around cheerapunji are running on their final breaths if you visit during february and I do not recommend you do that

    Nice laid back place. no activity after 5 pm . One can opt this as a central place to travel to other places around. one can opt for long walk or Run also. overall the place is relax and rejuvinating destination.

    The place has got a sleepy vibe and yet it awakens your soul...

    The place has got a sleepy vibe and yet it awakens your soul. The kids here add to the poem the place is. With their innocent antics on the road, the place is best explored walking but we didn't get chance to do that in the village.

    Nice crisp Weather, water falls , cave exploration, quaint...

    Nice crisp Weather, water falls , cave exploration, quaint village ... that's Cherrapunji for you in spring. Try stay a little bit away from the centre and nature will be with you . A trip to Arwah cave and Ramkrishna Mission must be in the bucket list. Enjoy sunset from Eco Park and Sunrise from the Seven Sister Falls view point.

    It is a beautiful place and lots to see and visit. I would go again when the time permits. The only constraint is the availability of good quality hotel at reasonable price. Polo Orchid Resort seems too costly and Jiva Resort was not available. Constraints 1. Good quality hotel at reasonable price; 2. Make sure that you travel to Cherrapunji at right time Favourite places in Cherrapunji 1. Good eating places are plenty 2. Make sure to visit the caves 3. Try to visit double decker living root visit. You should keep a full day for visiting the living root bridge. 4. One may book accommodation nearby the living root bridge (I.e., Smoky Falls Mae Fi Resort) for easy accessibility of the bridge. 5. Don’t forget to go Dawki to visit Dawki suspension bridge over the Umngot River and take a boat ride in Umngot River, single decker living root bridge in Riwai village and clean city nearby. 6. The super place for overnight stay is Ka Bri War Resort near Dawki.

    Lavender homestay is not a spacious place for family trip.

    Lavender homestay is not a spacious place for family trip. Rooms are too small, no heater, no proper blankets for winter. Minimal necessities like water is not available there, you have to buy even normal water, no glasses even provided. Though cherrapunji is a great place to visit...but nua ka likai falls, and Mausam cave is the main attraction. Jiva resort is best option for veg food.
