I had an incredible stay in this wonderful room with everything I needed! The garden was absolutely stunning and the private pool was the perfect spot to unwind and forget about daily stress. The room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities I required. I felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated after just one night. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. I'd give it ten stars! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect. I couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended!

Apartment Tsaner has a good location 10 min walk from the beach and from the center of the village Matala. It is quieter than the centre itself, which is full of restaurants and shops. The appartments are in a newly renovated two-storey house with many balconies overlooking the surrounding hills. We had a nicely decorated studio with a kitchenette and balcony, everything perfectly clean. There was also available a washing machine close to our studio. The host Ms. Kadiani is very friendly and hospitable, she prepared for us a bottle of local wine, fruits and snacks, printed our boarding passes, and as she traveled to Heraklion on the day of our departure, she drove us to the airport. Matala Beach is in a bay, so it is protected from big waves. Red Beach is not far, but one needs good shoes for walking on stones and rubble. Matala is a good starting point for visiting several important archaeological sites (Faistos, Agia Triada, Gortys), but one has to rent a car to get there. These places are worth of visiting, they are not full of tourists as Knossos.

It was nice that it had wifi, free parking (is like 2 minutes walk), the common kitchen and washing-machine were useful and the hostess was verry reasonable. It has a close super-market and tavernas that are close to walk by. And of course the good AC.
