cottage was lovely newly decorated home from home had everything we needed small with lovely features. Morrisons superstore was not far away 2 mins up the road and a small Tesco down the road. Longleat within an easy drive lovely village pubs good food and drink very friendly.

The location was excellent, 10minute drive to Longleat, continental breakfast was lovely and there was half dozen complimentary eggs from the farm. The property was very well equipped couldn’t fault it! Would certainly book again.

We visit this hotel annually when we go to Longleat which is very close. We love the character. This year we had a family room which gave us masses of space. Free parking. Wetherspoons breakfast downstairs, 2 bottles water, chocolate as well as tea and coffee in room. Love the secondary double glazing which doubles as fridge for water and juice. Easy to park near the high Street.

Could be a very pretty town but a little run down at present time. Also from roadworks a the main junction in the town. Several places to go and eat within walking distance and good choice supermarkets.

I ordered from the tapas menu for dinner and had lots of options to choose from. Breakfast was great - lots of different cooked or continental items to choose from. The room was large, comfortable and had everything I needed for a business trip - a desk, plenty of outlets for the laptop, phone, etc and plenty of room to spread out and relax after work. The staff we all really friendly and did their upmost to accommodate us. The rooms were spotless, spacious and homely. The breakfast was included in the cost of the room and it was beautiful, there was lots of variety and the food was all very high quality. The food in the bar pm was also very good. We knew the hotel is on a main room, so as expected, noisy. Ok, with window shut. Hotel bedroom nice and warm.. Great for one night and convenient for our journey.

The very old house does have a nice ancient charme. The stuff is nice and helpful, the breakfast was wonderful and the restaurant serves good meals at the end of a tiring vacation day. We very lucky: the chamber was huge. The location is calm.
