Stevenage used to be much more vibrant. I was shocked to see that all the shops and businesses in the town centre were closed by 6 pm on a weekday. Only happening place was Tesco in the Stevenage town centre. The shopping centre looked like was a deserted place (see photos). The size of the rooms are too small. I requested for two single bed rooms of which only one room was made available. The corridor is dirty and smelling. There was complementary bottle water which was being said that we had to purchase. Nice and newly refurbished house in residential area a short walk from Stevenage. Neatly decorated and with most amenities one could need or expect. The house was clean and spotless. The hosts was extremely pleasant and helpful.
