It was lovely to be in a private hotel instead of a franchise - you could tell it was above those! Well maintained and good sized rooms. Breakfast choice was great and fab to have something different on offer which we tried. Had an evening meal with fine dine which was very tasty and superb.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall we had a lovely relaxing time.
Thank you to all for making that happen for us! We highly recommend this hotel!

Amazing breakfast, good local beers, friendly and helpful staff. We did not have a dog with us and while the rooms are dog friendly, there was zero evidence of dogs in our room and everything was spotless. The local walking in the hills and amongst the ruined castle nearby was made for a great day out. Oh! And the food in the pub in the evenings was excellent. The pizzas and the seafood were some of the best I've ever had!

Breakfast was very good, maybe too much food! Second morning seemed as if there was only one member of staff on duty doing everything apart from cooking it... Location is perfect for us, we have been coming to St Marys' ever since it opened 8 years ago. The rooms are large and comfortable.
The Premier Lodge is just 2 minutes’ walk from Morpeth town centre, which includes the famous Sandersons Arcade - a 30-million pound shopping centre.

It’s located in the most beautiful meadow field, secluded and surrounded by trees. A proper escape.

Morpeth for us is a relaxing place to go and it's riverside and forest walk are ideal. It isn't great for places to eat if you are there for 7 days but we were self catering so not such a problem, we could find places to go out to eat for half the 7 days, but not the full 7 days. We love Lollo Roso but the meals are far to large for us to have 3 courses, a shame or go every night. We prefered to go To the Premier Inn restuarant at Ashington. where you get variety at a reasonable price.

We did part of the Northumberland Coastal walk (Cresswell to Dunstanburgh) and found the locals to be very friendly. Lots of free car parks near the coast, very well sign posted and plenty of benches.

Came for the Northumbrian Gathering.
Came for the Northumbrian Gathering. It's a great event if you like folk music and dancing. Lots of local culture. Talented artists. And the town itself is very attractive. It is small enough to park and walk to all places of interest.

Secret Cottage, Morpeth (Host: Alex) Morpeth was fine but accommodation and host not so good. Reported a major fault (no lighting in the main bathroom) this was not repaired during stay and to add insult to injury the host lied about everything in response to my review of Booking.com. Please don't trust this host or give him any of your hard-earned cash as he doesn't deserve the business. He was totally unsympathetic and had a terrible attitude. He said "go ahead and report to Booking.com because at the end of the day it is up to the host if a refund is given". AVOID THIS HOST!

Morpeth is a lovely little town.
Morpeth is a lovely little town. Highlights for me were the bagpipe museum - really is great - the park and all the little shops, especially the cheese shop by the clock tower. I went in windy January on a bicycle, which was not ideal, but I still really enjoyed myself.
Location in Morpeth centre close to shops and bars and we had a fantastic stay away. The place was very clean and such a nice warm feel with the exposed brickwork and wood.
Well heated apartment with all the amenities
I cooked Thai food first night after a few drinks down the street in nice hotels and bars
Would recommend the property to anyone.
Only thing is that there is a lot of steps upto "the loft" but we more than capable but could see it been an issue for people with disabilities
Will certainly be going back
Thankyou
Location is great for central Morpeth - it is on one of the oldest streets in the town. Very quiet area and within 2 mins walk of restaurants and bars - 5 mins walk from various river walks
The interior is amazing - very realistic as per the images supplied on the website - the deluxe suite (which we booked) is worthy of living in and the bathroom is immense!
The owners are great people and make you feel really welcome. I took various Italians with me and they now want an English breakfast cooked by Carmen every day !!!!!
Excellent really central location and great to have parking available on-site. Very helpful staff. Great range of tourist information at reception. Clean. I also like the option to have a room with a bath.
And Morpeth itself is a lovely place to visit - feels like a thriving market town with an excellent range of shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, lots of historic interest, parks, etc.
Would liken our experience to staying in a 5* hotel. We've never had slippers and the care package (bread, milk, beverages, condiments and toiletries) was beyond compare.
The doughnuts were the cherry on top of the icing!
Very comfortable bed, ample blankets to wrap up with if we wanted.
Tastefully decorated throughout.
Clean and comfortable B&B with very friendly hosts. Breakfast was really first class. Within easy walking distance of Morpeth town center where there is a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Lollo Rosso Italian restaurant highly recommended. I'd stay again without hesitation.
The restaurant staff were delightful as was the food, very nice relaxed feeling to the dining area and drinks lounge.
The breakfast staff were also lovely, and same goes for our goodbye from a nice lady who i believe was the general manager (dark hair).
Great Location for getting around this part of Northumberland. Excellent Breakfast. Had one Evening Dinner during our stay which was superb. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Great Place to stay for a 2 or 3 Night Break.
Very little to say what we liked about our stay, but if i had to choose anything it would be the location of the hotel and the bed was ok. Clean towels. Apart from that i cant say anything else we liked. Would not recommend.
Location was excellent. Just a walk to Morpeth. A lovely park across the road to take the dog for a walk. The property was well equipped and cosy warm. Comfy beds. Hosts responded quickly to any communication.
The hotel and staff were second to none. We couldn't think of a single thing we would change about our stay. We took our 2 year old cockerpoo and he was spoilt rotten. We will 100% go back.
