This is a beautifully decorated and extremely well-managed bed and breakfast overlooking the bay. We arrived after spending a week in budget hotels while on a group tour, so really enjoyed the spaciousness of our front-facing room, as well as the thoughtful amenities. The breakfast was the best we had during nearly a month of traveling through the UK. Bonus: it’s a dog-friendly hotel, and while we didn’t have a dog with us, we enjoyed interacting with the seven canines staying there, and their humans. Wish we had booked a longer stay!

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Gutted we were only able to stay for one night. Staff were so welcoming and the view from our rooms was fantastic. We had to get up early due to our exhibition start time, but the staff were accommodating and made our breakfast early, which was much appreciated. Would definitely return!

FAQs about hotels in Llandudno

Victorian Resort with a Welsh Twist

The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.

A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.

A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.

Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.

The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.

Lovely traditional sea side town with something for everyone. Lots of historic attractions nearby, many activities for adrenal junkies and quiet parks and promenades for a quiet break. Many great places to eat, the Thai food at Wok and Roll is fantastic. Clean beaches for the kids to play on, many ice cream shops and of course the rides/amusements on the pier.

We are regular visitor to Llandudno. We love the Victorian style of the town and buildings with a mix of old and new. On the Bank holiday weekend we were there, we enjoyed the car exhibitions of Porsche and Mini's which filled the promenade as well as the many gift shops and restaurants.

Beautiful to visit we took the bus up the orme on the first day and the second day we walked it took 3 half hours at the top was fantastic views of the mountains. We also visited the local flea Market that was very interesting and lovely people we met there and we picked up a couple of keep sakes. Plenty of places to eat especially fish and chips we went to Seymour cafe and the fish and chips where delicious and they even done curry sauce which my son was made up with.

Lovely wide promenade which was ideal for me in my motorised disability scooter. Sunday and Monday nights the town brass band give concerts from the band stand near the middle of the promenade. Excellent musicians - we were enthralled. The grandchildren enjoyed the activities on the pier especially the Ferris wheel. The streets off the Promenade are lively with many cafes and souvenir shops and there is a retail park within walking distance too. The only downside was the lack of toilets. Some cafes didn't have any at all and others had them but they were down steep steps & not accessible. The only public ones were in a garden square, the disabled one was out of order and only one of the other 3 would take the required 50p to open the door. I had to walk further out to M&S to find a usable toilet. That rather took the shine off a lovely holiday destination

Location excellent, had a sea view room with our own pet seagull on the window ledge, expecting to be fed, however he was disappointed this time. Room good, comfortable & clean, comfortable bed, breakfast room was a bit cafeteria style not hotel style, but the breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful, they said a large updating & refurbishment due this winter, should make it very good for a stay in Llandudno.

We arrived two hours early for our room . The room wasn’t ready but we were pleasantly surprised when we were given access to the room an hour early . Another surprise was the offer of free parking in the Hotel’s car park a fantastic bonus as parking in LLandudno is very difficult. The swimming pool was a delight as was our room which was large and offered superb sea view across the road.
