Great city. Small and easy to get around the centre. Locals seem friendly and it has great shops, museums, live music entertainment in the pubs, theatre, lovely places to eat and great value for money. Within easy walking distance of everything Liverpool has to offer (and it has a lot). Liverpool is one of the friendliest cities in the UK without a doubt. The city pulses with energy: plenty of museums, galleries, theaters, music venues, and nightlife options that cater to all tastes. Especially fans of The Beatles and vibrant nightlife. Areas like the Baltic Triangle and Bold Street offer creative, bohemian atmospheres with street art, indie bars, eclectic shops, and food spots that feel alive and authentic. Because the city centre is so lively and compact, it can feel overwhelmingly busy at times. Weekends and event nights bring significant crowds, which might wear on quieter travellers. Accommodation can get pricey or booked out quickly, especially during Premier League matches or concerts at the M&S Bank Arena, so planning ahead is key.
