I needed a place to stay which I could use as a base for my...
I needed a place to stay which I could use as a base for my own planned activities: visits to Wester Ross, Inverness and Skye. The Cluannie Inn was ideal for this purpose, but other options (available on Booking.com) appear to be very good/excellent - in particular around Invergarry and Spean Bridge. Beautiful and meticulously maintained grounds and home. They have thought of everything a traveler hopes to find or wishes they would find when staying at a B & B. Delicious and sumptuous breakfast. It felt like they really cared about your stay and wanted you to enjoy it. Food was good. And you weren't rushed out the door like some places. We've passed this hotel so many times rushing down south. Had stayed previously at Whispering Pines and wanted to try this place for so long.
