The breakfast and choice was absolutely amazing. The best we have had at a hotel. It was all fresh and constantly topped up. We had not planned to eat evening meals in the hotel, but the food was so good we ate there every night. The room too was fantastic, with plenty of space. Marc the concierge was very knowledgeable about the area and recommended some great walks suitable for us and the buses to get to them. The receptionists were also very welcoming showing us around the hotel and our room on arrival. The location of the hotel is good too, just a few minutes walk from the center and therefore not too noisy. A few days after we left I realised that I had left an expensive item of clothing behind. The hotel kindly arranged to post this home for me. We usually holiday in the Med but with the high temperatures we now get there during summer, decided to try the UK this year. We had such an enjoyable time will definitely be back next summer.

Excellent base for exploring the wider Lakes, however Bowness is very beautiful in its own right! Lots of options to relax and entertain people of all ages. A wealth of dining experiences are available and the scenery is out of this world! Travellers with limited mobility may struggle with some terrain (unsurprisingly, lots of steep gradients), however there are plenty of places that are easy to get around, and public transport is fantastic. The people of the North West are lovely, friendly, and very welcoming. Food is varied, tasty and always generously portioned. There’s something about the clean air in the Lakes that immediately makes you relax and unwind. A gorgeous part of the world!

bowness get very busy at peak times... still a nice a place to visit. seeing and feeding the swans and geese was nice .... just be aware there where lots of rats round there getting the food from the floor. Alot of transport from here, boat trips and lots off buses. Go on the mountain goat trip takes you all over the lakes in a mini coach with a guided tour. A fantastic place to eat is broadwalk bar and grill... you have to pre book to get in, if you manage to go get seated upstairs and ask for tubbs .. a waiter at broadwalk what a fantastic bloke, he is so funny, always cracking jokes to you and the kids.

This hotel is fabulous, we were really happy with the location. The rooms are spotless and ideal for a few nights away. Also it is dog friendly. The outside seating area in the sunshine was amazing. Staff were so kind and friendly. We only ate one evening in the hotel and unfortunately the food was not hot enough and there was too much salad. The breakfast self service is also great, you can ask for cooked breakfast at the bar. We will visit again
