Gem with only 5 rooms, beautifully curated, cool and stylish decor (all Deus ex Machina), very friendly owner and staff, amazing food with some of the best vegan options I have ever tasted, close to Boscombe Beach, close enough to Bournemouth city center. Relaxed and hip spot. We can‘t wait to go back in summer!

Another good stay at the Grove. The value for money is unbeatable, rate was very low during my stay. The rooms are not luxurious but always warm and comfortable. Location is convenient to moving around Bournemouth. Staff is friendly.

The hotel is amazing, very clean, perfect location and the most important is staff. The Reception team was very friendly and helpful! The huge Thanks to Afria ( I am not sure that spelling is correct). This lovely lady upgraded our room which made our stay exceptional! The room was very beautiful and with an incredible view. FAQs about hotels in Bournemouth

Sea Air and Savoir-Faire

Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.

The town is centred on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road goes east to neighbouring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.

Booking.com also offers hotels near the BIC – Bournemouth International Centre in the West Cliff area. This convention centre and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre, located next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon that offers far-reaching views.

At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Opposite is a Grade I-listed church, and St Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of ‘Frankenstein’.

On the outskirts of town, near 4 golf courses and the Castlepoint Shopping Centre, is Bournemouth Airport.

The beaches were the cleanest I’ve ever been to.

The beaches were the cleanest I’ve ever been to. It was such a shame that the weather was not very good, so everywhere we went to was quick as it was cloudy and windy and we were cold. Also sometimes places look so much nicer when it is sunny and it gets you in the mood of exploring more.Fortunately the day we got there we had a bit of sunny weather so managed to have a swim. Alum chine garden was nice to explore. To be honest I just went there for the beach. The kids were not interested in the zip wire but I think that would’ve been fun.

There is plenty to do: museums, big wheel, beach, sea, aquarium, shows, restaurants and cafes. The only problem is parking; there is not enough close to the beach and it is incredibly expensive! Consider going by bus or train (although it is quite a walk from the train station) The beach is lovely and there is a long promenade walk along side the beach huts, although there is some development work at the moment so there is a slight diversion.

The city did not meet my expectations, as numerous establishments are closing down and the streets are noticeably populated by individuals exhibiting substance abuse issues, including drug addiction and alcoholism, which are prevalent across various areas. This situation contributes to a perception of the city as unsafe. Consequently, I am uncertain about returning to this location in the future.

Locals are friendly, bus drivers are helpful. Lots of places to park. Lovely garden for walk through with flowing stream in the middle of the city away from cars and buildings. City seems to have everything you might need and not so extensive or chocking with traffic so you learn your way around pretty quickly. Unique eateries. Miles of golden sand and tours available on land and water.

Main reason for visit was actually to see my daughter, her hubby & my grandson who just turned one in Southbourne. We went shopping, walking in parks, having brunch & dinner, in different eating places each day. Ludo Lounge is fab & provides games! Lots of choice, Bournemouth much more noisy than lovely clean Southbourne… Also Boscombe, and Christchurch, are nice areas: plus a lovely lake with ducks & swans, and a great water area for little ones, and a children’s play area. Think this was called Quamps Park. There is also an excellent bus service.

Easily the best hotel that I have stayed in when I visit Bournemouth and I've stayed in quite a few different hotels over the last few months. Great value for money, large rooms, really comfortable beds and facilities. A five minute walk from the town centre and the beach. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. I've stayed here twice and will be booking again.
