Nice little town. Excellent base to visiting the Morvan. Many walks nearby. Wonderful places to visit: Autun, Avallon, Semur-en Auxois, Vezelay***, Auxerre. Beautiful lakes. The town boasts one of the best restaurants of France, if not the whole world. It is truly mythical. But it will cost you an arm and a leg. The restaurant for dinner and breakfast couldn’t have been better. We were concerned that we would find that the traffic noise would be excessive having read other reviews. Our room was on the main road side. I’m a light sleeper but didn’t notice noise (double glazing) Couldn’t fault the room for furnishings and cleanliness. Great lounge for relaxing after dinner. We were a group of families travelling with many kids - I would say the hotel is better suited for older couples, less for young kids. There was a problem with the pool, but thankfully it was solved before checkout so we got to enjoy it for a few hours before we left.
