Parking available in the area, although we did go during low season. Rooms were spacious. TV entertainment was provided which was a bonus! Also the owners were very friendly and provided tips to continue our journey.

Le Bois Gautier is a great place handled by very friendly and supportive people. The accommodation is nice, clean, and cozy - a farm house appearence with all the modern amenities. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool (heated!) while we could relax in a peaceful countryside atmosphere. The farm is located close to a couple of small towns (shops, restaurants etc.) and, from our point of view, it was a convenient base for shorter and longer car trips. Bill and Karen are there to help you with any topics and to provide you with smart local hints.

To start with, the host, Eileen, is a fabulous English lady who is most helpful and fun to chat with. The house, being Eileen's own home, is well cared for and it shows: clean and exceptionally well equipped. The house exceeded my expectations by a mile (as someone who has used booking.com well over hundred times and hardly ever reviewed any stays, I don't use superlatives lightly). The house is spacious and in a beautiful setting, rustic (in a most idyllic way) yet convenient to get to all the attractions. Last but not least and what a pleasant surprise it was (for someone who needs to stay connected): lighting fast fiber optic internet! This is when you realize how far behind America has become when it comes to infrastructure!

Really excellent chambre d'hôte, friendly and welcoming host, incredible and tasteful renovation of historic house which was built for the architect of the Basilica of Pontmain, a religious shrine that you can see from the house. Jaw-dopping grounds with seating and sunloungers and a former lavoir.
