We stayed in the 2 bed 2 storey gite which was excellent. Really quirky decor and soooo quiet and peaceful. The shower room was amazing the pool was perfect too. The only minor niggle for me was the bed was a little firm for me but that's my own opinion and the stairs were pretty steep. Agatha was a great host she met us outside and although neither of us spoke each others language we managed. Would defi recommend to friends and family

    Payzac is a beautiful quiet clean village.

    Payzac is a beautiful quiet clean village. Bar Tabac proprietor,Sarah was very friendly as were some of the locals we met at her Bar Tabac. We travelled to Rocamadour, segur le chateau, la Moulinossou, lac Rouffiac. Central enough and maybe a week is enough before moving on somewhere else.

    A good place to stay while visiting the Dordogne region.

    A good place to stay while visiting the Dordogne region. Payzac is worth visiting by itself, nearby are a number of beautiful medieval villages worth seeing. Payzac is a sleepy town by itself, so you would be happy to return in the afternoon from e.g. Lascaux caves, and go to a tavern for a wine.
