A lovely little hotel within a couple of minutes walk of the centre, the museum and the church. A lovely welcome at the hotel which was immaculately clean. A lovely breakfast in the conservatory area with more than enough to eat served by a fantastic host. If we are in the area we would absolutely stay here again.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews, but we had a great stay - friendly and very helpful staff; convenient and enjoyable on-site restaurant; a good sized room that has had a modern re-fit. We were able to store and secure our bicycles in the reception area

I fell in love with this place when I saw the photos on Booking.com. Not only is this a genuine country farm in the Normandie countryside, it has D-day history of its own. If you are looking for rustic charm, this is the place. You drive in the front gate to a lovely courtyard of flowers. The outer walls of our room were thick stone walls. You are in the country. When we came back from dinner after dark, we saw a starry sky that you can only see far from city lights. Regarding the rustic nature of the farm, be sure to take care when reading the list of amenities as some things regularly provided by a hotel may be missing. My husband and I rarely turn on the television while at our lodgings, and for one night, we could do without WiFi. A carafe of water and a bowl of local caramels awaited us. Our hostess was delightful and offered advice on local dining. The breakfast was a variety of cold foods, giving us plenty to eat.

    The town is very small, but that is why I picked it.

    The town is very small, but that is why I picked it. I wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful to come back to and relax when we weren't out traveling. If you need to shop, gas, or eat out, you are very close to both Carentan and Ste Mere Eglise. We found a very good boulangerie in Carentan, only an 8-minute drive from the Gite. It is also close to the N13, so it was easy to get out and around quickly. It is also less than 1.5 hours from Mont Sainte Michel, making for an easy day trip.
