We had an excellent stay at Piedra Y Luz whilst walking the Camino del Mozarabe. Very clean and spacious room, great house keeping, delicious food but the best part of our stay was the friendliness of the staff. They would go out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. The manager was particularly helpful with a warm greeting whenever he saw us. The town is beautiful, we were fortunate enough to be there for El Día de Reyes and watched the parade - beautiful. We will definitely return . Based on others’ reviews we chose Hotel Gema for our one night stopover. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and warm. Big bathroom too. The reception and restaurant (in the lower ground floor - take the lift) staff were very helpful and friendly. The night we stayed was Carnival so we had a lively introduction to the village of Almadén. Would recommend Hotel Gema.
