A really fun city to explore, with no shortage of things to do and see and eat! We got around easily on the trams, busses, and taxis, and hop on/off busses. Really recommend booking attractions in advance, even if a few days before as they can sell out on the day in peak summer season. We booked a tour for the Sagrada Familia including going up the tower which was amazing. Casa Vicens was also gorgeous and has inspired us to redecorate our garden at home! The food was also affordable and delicious, our favorite tapas was Cerveceria Catalana for sit-down, and Bo de B for super delicious, affordable sandwiches and salads.Guest review byJoannaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Barcelona is one of our favourite cities. Although it is quite pricey, the vibe is amazing. The food scene is amazing, with Iberian hams on freshly-baked, crusty rolls a firm "Must Have"! We also felt quite safe walking around, as there was a quite visible police presence. Barcelona is a wonderful city especially if you go a bit outside the "beaten path" and try to experience it from a local's viewpoint. There are of course myriads of touristy things to do, but the city has so much more to offer. Transportation is amazing, may it be metro or buses or even cycling around and it's definitely not as hot as Madrid ( middle of summer ) Get a monthly card for €20 and not a Hola Barcelona card - it's all you'll need to move around. Night life is great and if you're just a bit careful, you'll have no issues whatsoever. ( like with any major city in the world )Guest review byViktorGreece
