Very good IBIS Special mention to Chemile on the front desk(hope I've written his name correctly), who was superb. Even helped us find an excellent guide. Special mention also for the breakfast staff. This was the best breakfast we had in all of Algeria! Great choice and fresh The room was warm and clean. All staff including the cleaners and security friendly Location is ok. Tlemcen is an ancient city and there is no perfect place to be located The city and its environs are well worth visiting but I strongly advise anyone to use a guide. Ideally Cookie who we used through the hotel. The caves, tower, historic mosques are all amazing. We even went to a football match

Wonderful guesthouse converted from an old house in the historic centre of Tlemcen. A bit like a riad in Morocco; characterful rooms boast pretty Moorish touches. Good power shower with fast stream. Perfect location in a quiet side street a couple of minutes' stroll from the main square. Friendly and charming proprietor who speaks fluent French and offered useful help and advice with many different aspects of our visit. Delicious breakfast with homemade jam and even (at least on the day we stayed) home-baked bread. I really wish we'd stayed a second night here and hope this guesthouse will be a model for others in Algeria.
