We loved the location - it was perfect for us. We were stopping there on our way to Berlin from Switzerland and the location was a perfect stop for us. We loved the room - for a family of 4 it was perfect. We also thought the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Everything (the room, breakfast etc.) was perfect and the elderly concierge Otto was outstanding! What a man and what a humor. When I asked him if he wanted our passport he replied: “No thanks, I have my own” and so on. And besides that he was so polite and attentive!

A spa hotel built at the very beginning of the 20th century for 1,5 million marks (more than 15 million dollars in today's money -- for 57 rooms, not 570). A magical castle-like building. A huge park - I have only seen something like this in Asia, but never in Europe. Spacious rooms. Excellent varied breakfast. 5+ stars for the price of 3.
