We arrived at 3pm at the place appeared deserted we looked for 30 minutes trying to figure out how to check in. We finally left so we weren’t on the steep roads after dark.

The Lodge is beautiful and the view is a dream. All was clean, the Beds are super cozy and big. We would to come back for the next triop in Monte Verde.

The cabins were really lovely, set in beautiful grounds with tropical plants, coffee, banana and sugar plantations. There is a nice pool. The place is family run, and all the staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. There is a beautiful path round the perimeter of the property through woodland that allows you to see birds and other wildlife. There was a sloth in the grounds when we were there, but unfortunately we did not see him. The reception organised a ziplining excursion and a night tour with a nature guide. Would definitely recommend the place and would stay there again.

Great place to stop on a journey round Lake Arenal. Nice restaurant and great beer. Pool and gym pretty good too
