We stayed at Destino for one night and really liked it! The place is surrounded by nature, and on a clear, sunny day, you can see three volcanoes. One of the coolest features of the rooms is that one of the walls is made of natural rock, giving you the feeling of being in a cave - yet everything is modern and well-built. The hosts were very welcoming too. Liz sent us lots of great recommendations for things to do in the area. You can also enjoy an outdoor bath with hot thermal water that comes straight from the ground. The highlight of the property is the cold river, which you can reach within a few minutes. In the Costa Rican heat, swimming in that fresh, flowing water was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and quiet, while still staying in a comfortable and thoughtfully designed house.

Our stay was an exceptional experience. Roger and Rose were super kind and helpful giving ideas for places to visit, where to eat etc. One of the highlights was the breakfast, every day with fresh fruit juice and varied costarican food. Malekus is located in a stunning location surrounded by nature at its best. Definitively highly recommendable!!

For our needs this place was great! We booked very last minute and the staff were super lovely and were on hand throughout. The room was super lovely and we were very comfortable. We played with the animals in and around the property and went for a walk around the town in the evening. Everyone was lovely and we had the best time on the first day of our trip! A beautiful small hotel in the "forest". Everything, especially, the breakfast area is surrounded by trees, plants, flowers. Amazing place. Breakfast was rich and tasty. The manager is extremely kind and speaks excellent English. Room was huge and WIFI was fast. They have private parking. Close to town and to a few restaurants.

beautifull jungle walk in the property with access to the beautifull river. Tucans and other birds visited us every morning. two minutes from the villa, is one of the nicest walks to a great watrfall.
