A truly wonderful castle stay, made even more special by the warm and gracious hospitality of the castellan, Mr. Bauer. Our visit felt like stepping back in time — a unique and memorable experience. The peaceful surroundings, stunning views, fresh air, and the nearby lake all added to the charm. For nature lovers, there are also plenty of scenic hiking trails in the area. The property is in excellent location, lake and park are close, restaurants also. The room we stayed was really huge and modern. Windows are soundproof. Balcony is a nice add to the room. Breakfast was really good and the place is pet friendly. Place you have to visit.

    It was very nice. We enjoyed it here very much.

    It was very nice. We enjoyed it here very much. It’s an old castle with fascinating history. At first it was a bit scary, to sleep in a castle, but after a while we fell in love with it. It has some magic about it. We ate in pörtschach in a hawaian restaurant, tasty vegan food. We didn’t try the breakfast. At first look, I felt like running away. At the last one, I felt like I don’t want to leave. It was a unique experience. I’m happy that I experienced this. For sure, if in one word: Extraordinary!

    The location was excellent, with close proximity (by car) to the Wörthersee and private access to a smaller pond/lake directly in front of the hotel. The rooms are massive, comfortable and super clean. Furthermore, all of the staff were very friendly during our stay. The breakfast buffet was not extensive but offered everything we needed and exceeded my expectations, especially considering the cost.

    This was the best hotel I have stayed at in years. The location is perfect. The staff were friendly and easy to understand. I would definitely stay here again!
