Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended! I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I will avoid the cliché "very good value for money". Not that it wouldn't fit, but because it wouldn't fully explain our stay at Wiengut Taggenbrunn. I think that the owners bought the fortress and the surrounding domain and pumped huge sums of money, not as a simple investment that seeks profit. In this case, the owners simply found a way to "deposit" the money in a property located in a good, traditional location. They bought a dilapidated fortress and created a fabulous, stylish and tasteful domain around it. The decision to share this domain with the rest of us is commendable. Why am I saying this? The prices charged maybe for visitors can be good from the "very good quality-price ratio" perspective. But from the perspective of the owners, is not profitable. They will not get the "recovery of the investment" in this life. That's why such initiatives deserve praise: these people deposited their money in a property without looking for immediate profit, they arranged all the things with a lot of work and passion. The rest of us just enjoy such jewelry at normal prices.

Andrea, the owner, was very friendly and polite, and gave us also some nice tip for exploring around the property as to visit Burg Taggenbrunn. The location is near also another famous castle, i.e. Hochosterwitz Schloß, and perfect to reach Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (about 20km away, 20 minutes). The apartment we have rented was very clean and well equipped. Parking is included and available at the property. Highly recommended.

Booked this incredible accommodation at short notice. So glad I found it. What a lovely place! Friendly and forthcoming owner, beautiful house and surrounding landscape. Option to sit outside in the garden. Big, clean and comfortable room with ensuite bathroom (shower and bath - pure luxury). Delicious and extensive breakfast. Can highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a very comfortable and spacious accommodation at a very reasonable price.

This accommodation is in a spacious forest garden. It's so clean and I wake up early in the morning listening to birdsong. It's located very close to downtown, which takes about 12 minutes by car. The host took such a clean and beautiful care of the house and surroundings that I had a very peaceful time without any inconvenience during my stay. Highly recommend.
