The room was big, the bed was comfortable. The best part was the nice refrigerator. It looked new and bigger than most. Hotel is located on a busy street with grocery stores and restaurants close by. It was right next to the mall. Parking was free.

This place has great potential but staff make it not worth to visit.
Downey is an awesome location! It is in close proximity to the highways, there are great eateries and shopping, and Porto's is always an added bonus for us because they do not have any in Las Vegas (where we reside). Getting around Downey is easy; good shopping and restaurants on Lakewood and a great restaurant there is El Pescador if you love authentic Mexican food! (tip, eat lightly because the portions are huge, and you will have extra to take home!).
Downey Avenue is a treat with their indoor/outdoor eateries with the Farmer's Market within walking distance every Saturday morning.
If you feel like heading into the LBC, to avoid the highway, take the main surface street, Lakewood Avenue. It will take you right into Lakewood/ LBC.
Have a great time!

It started a day before my stay, I called the property, a young lady answered my call and I inquired about checking in early, we were attending a wedding and didn't want to travel in our clothing. Girl stated check in is 3 o'clock, wedding started, please arrive by 3:30 wedding starts at 4, when I arrived just minutes before 3, the same girl on the phone checked me in, parking lot completely empty and I let her know that I had been the guy who called, her answer was we don't do early check in, I got my room, all night you can hear street noise and people stomping around upstairs. I'm a Military Veteran with injuries and had a handicap room.

I love Downey there's lots to do.
I love Downey there's lots to do. In the website for booking.com it shows you options of things to do in town and it shows Disney and Universal Studios. Those theme parks are no where near the hotel in Downey.

Our stay was good, in a pretty decent location and property was clean inside and outside. However, the hotel could use some minor upgrades, newer mattresses (not comfortable), offer better tv channel options (especially for families) and decor is a little outdated. Overall, it was reasonably priced for our stay there and my family would stay here again.

Downey is a great city, theatres, many restaurants, near freeways. You can get to the beach, Los Angeles, Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm very quickly, about 40 to 60 minutes! It has a moderate climate, from the 605 freeway you can be at the beach in about a half and hour!

I wanted the room with the cemented balcony on third floor but did not receive right balcony. It was the smallest one which does not seem safe to stand out side of it because it is so small. Could have been given a bigger balcony. We paid enough and should receive what we request.
nothing. The clerk was rude and disrespectful on the phone with somebody laughing the entire time I was booking. Enter the room there was water all over underneath the air conditioning. Blood on the toilet seat, blood stains and blood. Room had leaking all night I took pictures, there was a flood from upstairs leaking into our room leaking down to the garage. Management the cheapest and all of the city. This is so ghetto I couldn’t sleep all night straight up nightmare.
The hotel is located in a calm and quiet business area. Around many shops, writers, commercial centers.
All the rooms of the hotel overlook the impressive view of the LA Valley.
The staff is pleasant and always ready to help, the breakfasts are varied.
Good vibes.
Paid parking but relatively inexpensive
It was surprisingly very nice. I thought it would be run down and moldy but it was not the case. The bathroom was clean. For my last minute reservations it was the best place I could find for a good price. I would definitely stay here again and request a room closer to the lobby and not by the traffic.
I appreciated the customer service from the staff, the hotel was clean and smelled great, our room was designed nicely, and the bar was lively with a great bartender there engaging the guests. This made the stay worth it.
Very impressed with this Hotel. Large clean rooms, bathroom was spacious with a nice shower. Very comfortable beds.shopping and restaurants across the road. Breakfast included, a lot of variety to choose from.
There was nothing to like about this property, the room was dirty, no towels, soap, etc.
The property was dirty on the outside with buck of gang members and people drink around and inside the building .
Breakfast was as expected. Kind people keeping everything fine.
The Hotel was good, there were some shops and restaurants nearby.
I couldn't hear much noise in my room.
Everything was clean.
Lovely clean hotel and really comfortable rooms and beds.
We had a decent breakfast, although the queue for the egg station always seemed to be long... worth the wait though :-)
Breakfast was superior to similar hotels we stayed at. Downey area seemed to be quite safe with plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff generally friendly and helpful.
I liked the location of the hotel. I also like the pictures shown online. I like that i was eventually given a refund for the booking. That’s pretty much it.
