Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. The staff was so friendly, and the hotel has a great vibe. The building and facilities may be old, but that's really part of its charm. We would come back again for sure.

Boasting open-air hot spring baths, a heated indoor pool and beautiful Japanese gardens, Senjukaku offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation that has a historic charm. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was accommodating and the facilities were perfect.

Hotel Fuki no Mori je situovaný v oblasti bohatej na prírodné krásy, 20 minút jazdy hotelovou kyvadlovou dopravou od železničnej stanice JR Nagiso. The staff were exceptional catering to our every need and the food was unusual and fantastic. It felt like a very authentic experience. The onsen was fabulous

A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. Best onsen I've ever been to. Beautiful venue. Delicious food

Situated just a 5-minute walk from historic Togakushi Shrine, Oshi Ryokan is traditional lodging accommodation in the peaceful mountain area, which used to cater for pilgrims. We had a wonderful experience at the ryokan. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the owner was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Only a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park, Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offers simple Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Akira and Yumi were exceptional hosts, super friendly and polite. The ryokan was even more beautiful than in the pictures. The private onsen was wonderful and we were able to go there whenever we wanted. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. Akira and Yumi were also able to cater for my multiple allergies which amazed me. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the river. The sound of the white water was relaxing.

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. Mr. Kadowakikan was super friendly and helpful. He picked us up and dropped us off at the shuttle bus stop. He helped us order rental ski/snowboard equipment to the hotel. The hotel's own onsen was very clean and more comfortable than the town's free onsens.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Wonderful, welcoming staff. A great way to finish our Japan holiday. Amazing outdoor onsen that we could use exclusively for a period of time each evening. We enjoyed the kaiseki (dinner) which was also a memorable experience. Being 20 weeks pregnant at the time, I was worried about the futons, but they were so comfy.

Minshuku Miyama offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Guests can relax in the public outdoor hot-spring baths and wear Japanese Yukata robes. Everything, location, rooms, facilities, foods and the couples who ran and own the place.
