Virginia beach on the beach is family orientated and beautiful, always have entertainment in the evening in different spots, beach was beautiful but as any public place people tend to be lazy putting garbage where it belongs, would love to see clean beaches
Crowded everywhere along boardwalk and aquarium..., expensive yet poor quality food. Had possibly the worst breakfast of my life at Pocahontas pancakes. I never realized it was possible to make bacon so bad you couldn't eat it. Frigidly cold beach water with stinging plankton/sandfleas. Tried renting a bike for family &spent the bulk of that boardwalk ride also stuck in traffic of pedestrians and other bikes. Constant noise of naval jet maneuvers which were cool at first, but got old quickly. I simply cannot foresee wanting to ever return. I'll check out a less populated areas of Virginia coastline in the future.
What I enjoyed the most about Virginia Beach is the cleanliness of the beach and the BEAUTIFUL flowers and landscape between the different hotels. In addition, the reasonable prices in the stores on the strip. The boardwalk was nice. I will visit again next year.
Virginia beach is wonderful, but tends to be a little crowded on Saturdays. The traffic on 95 coming into VA was ROUGH, but the drive home was speedy. We ate at Cancun Fiesta, 18th Street Grille, Venice Pizza, and Subway. Venice Pizza is amazing. The stores are a little lacking if you are a shopper...every few blocks the stores repeat themselves (Bargain beachwear, sunsations, Virginia Gift Shop, repeat). The boardwalk isn't so much for shopping as it is getting around, unlike Ocean City, MD. The water is warmer and clearer than other beaches, and the beaches were clean and well-maintained. The staff at every restaurant and hotel went above and beyond. I would definitely go back.
I love just about everything there is in Virginia Beach! I visit every year, sometimes twice a year. Fun place all around. No complaints here, just happy, happy, happy! :-)
Virginia Beach in itself is alright but if you visit during off season there’s won’t be much to do. I wish there weremorefun things to do, more amusement parks, games, shops, wish things also weren’t so overpriced.
Virginia Beach offers a nice wide sandy beach with a lot of things to do within walking distance. If you want Beach and commercial activities and hotels convenient to the beach with views of the ocean , Virginia Beach offers a variety of options.
Virginia Beach was a 3 day stop over on our road trip. It was off season so very quiet....not much going on. Unfortunately it was very cold and windy. We made the most of it. I found a lot of the places on Atlantic S very tired looking and outdated. The beach however looked amazing but too cold to enjoy. We were there mid April.
I love Virginia Beach! The beach is so nice and comforting! The ocean water is more cleaner than some other beaches. The atmosphere is relaxing. Just a beautiful place to vacation.
Norfolk is situated in the middle of plenty of attractions. The boardwalk at Virginia Beach is about a half hour away, and Busch gardens along with water country is less than an hour drive in the opposite direction. There’s a zoo nearby, an aquarium and multiple malls and movie theaters. There’s an endless amount of food options, groceries stores and markets if that’s your thing. Everything is very easy to get to, and traffic is not TOO bad as long as you plan not to be on the road in the mid afternoon. Avoid the Hampton tunnel if you need to get somewhere quick, as you will almost always hit major traffic coming through there. Most of Norfolk is very safe and with other major cities nearby - you won’t get bored staying here.
This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Virginia Beach sandwiched between the boardwalk and the shopping strip. Every room has a beautiful ocean view. We were able to check in early and were offered a choice of floors. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. I was impressed by the variety of food and how well it tasted. The pool area was nice and having a gym available was a great bonus too. Can’t beat the breathtaking sunrise view though… All in all, we’d stay there again. It was affordable and gave you a lot for your money.
I can't thank you all especially Giovani at the front desk. She worked with us and making sure we were able to extend our time at the hotel due to an issue with our car. We had to get it serviced at the local Volvo dealership. Didn't know how long it would take. We were coming from IL and had no other option but to rent a vehicle and stay in Virginia a few extra days. The breakfast and staff were amazing. Loved the cleanliness of the facility. Work out room was a plus as well as the sitting room area.
everything else was excellent and was to my expectations every time I go to Virginia Beach I plan on getting a room here I have been here several times the staff was great in the rooms are beautiful especially the balcony and listening to the ocean at night also when I checked out 3 hours out of Virginia Beach I remembered I left my purse in the hotel room the staff went and found it and put it in the office and when they received the return box they mailed my purse to me which I got.
The hotel was beautiful but even more important was the outstanding employees. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff took a personal interest and met your needs without being asked! So nice to be greeted at breakfast by Andy and Bonnie! Breakfast was great every day. Even a manager came by at breakfast and asked how we were and if we needed anything. I will never think of staying anywhere else in Virginia Beach. Great boardwalk location with Neptune Festival going on.
Very Dog friendly. It was nice to see that a hotel was so accepting of so may people who travel with pets. If more hotels did this they would be as busy as the Hyatt was this week end. In most cases a place like the Hyatt and patrons with pet owners who stay do not abuse or make a mess just because they have a dog in their presence. Thanks Hyatt Virginia Beach for being so awesome in customer service and letting our fur babies be a part of the stay.
The location of the hotel was in a great area did not know until we ate at California Piazza Kitchen that we there was so many other places to eat. We ate at Anchor's Allie near the hotel which the breakfast food was great. Virginia Beach was awesome and so was the food at a restaurant we also ate at. We did the Village Inn which was right next to the hotel and also great food. I will definitely return to Virginia Beach again!!
Disappointed, you should remove the Days Inn from your list, book in Winsor Lock (BDL AIRPORT), the dirty hotel we paid for and we had to share the hallways with wanderers...today I arrived at one with my family in (Virginia) DAYS INN, the lousy dirty hotel. They had to change rooms twice because dirty water came out of the shower. VERIAN BOOKING HAS MORE RESPECT FOR THEIR CLIENTS.
Alexandria
The property is in the prime area of Northern Virginia and serves as a launch point for multiple attractions in DC, VA or MD. The apartment was in pretty good shape and things were very clean and well organized. The setup was phenomenal and the instructions given were clear and concise. Communication was also excellent all around concerning check-ins to see how things were going.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The newly renovated lobby is nice. The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed was comfy. The hotel restaurant is accommodating for those who want to do take-out/take-away because of the pandemic. It is affordable hotel located between Norfolk and Virginia Beach that provides a good home-base for exploring both areas.
The location and the cleanliness. The hotel is very pretty decor and cozy. I felt safe secure. The parking garage is very convenient.Last but not least I love the breakfast excellent. My husband and I go to Virginia to visit our son and we will always stay at the Marriott Residence Inn. I forgot about the laundry room and the gym very nice and convenient.
Charlottesville
This hotel is in a great location for someone with a car who wants to be near the University of Virginia campus. It's a short drive to any of the local places. It's also near tons of restaurants and a pharmacy. The pillows on the bed were completely amazing. The included coffee machine worked and the air conditioner worked great.
The breakfast was like snacks not breakfast the advertisement was not like how they show you the room. They did not put on the front of the ocean view. When I got to it to the hotel, they said portion view I have to pay an extra fee for the whole ocean view. Worst hotel I stayed in Virginia, I will never stay at that hotel again….
The Hotel was excellent from the location to the staff to the upkeep of the Hotel , the rooms are modern sacked with the things that you need very clean bed are comfortable. Breakfast in the mornings was very delicious I really enjoyed my stay and when I am in the state of Virginia this will be the my hotel of choice
The hotel and staff were very friendly helpful and I would recommend this hotel to anyone possible 😊 which is why I always choose the extended stay of America Hampton Coliseum Virginia... Great place to call home especially when you really matters and just want to get away and relax.. Thks kindly Lawanda Carter!!
I stayed here twice in a week---on short overnight stops to and from a trip to the Virginia coastal islands. On the second stop, Mario at the front desk was very helpful in getting me a room unexpectedly: I needed it because I missed my departing plane because of a glitch in the hotel's wake-up call system.
This is my favorite hotel in Virginia Beach. I've been coming here for years. The staff are always very friendly and very helpful to me. I love the nostalgia of the hotel and its in a prime location. Definitely glad to have had the opportunity to stay here again and during my birthday at that.
For what we needed the location, and the cost, were the main factors. This hotel is right on US 50 in Fairfax. The meeting we had to go to the following day was less than a mile away. We wanted to avoid the DC-northern Virginia commuting traffic. The bed was very comfortable.
Charlottesville
Peaceful, pretty location, excellent size, equipment, and a lower price than of any of the hotels we stayed in whilst in Virginia. Would make an excellent 2 to 3 night base when visiting this area, Shenandoah Valley/National Park. Historic restaurant just across the road.
Really like the Mary Baldwin University was a couple of block from the Howard Johnson Hotel….Restaurants were at walking distance….Hotel was very clean, as well as the bed being very comfortable….. definitely will stay again when visiting Staunton, Virginia
Virginia Beach
The receptionist was very kind. The location had a kitchen and a lot of amenities in the room, which made it suitable for a long term stay. The location was ideal for walking around in Virginia Beach with good proximity to restaurants and sites.
