Volcano Eco Cabin Retreat is a chalet situated in Volcano, 16 km from Kilauea and 9.6 km from Volcano National Park's entrance. Offering free private parking, the chalet is 15 km from Thomas A Jaggar Museum. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. We loved everything about the accomodation. The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. Located at the base of Mauna Kea Volcano, this upcountry Waimea lodge offers cable TV with work desk and fans (available upon request) . Hapuna Beach is 15 minutes’ drive away.

An en suite bathroom is provided in each room at CASTLE Waimea Country Lodge. A work desk and fan are also included. Awful awful place. Do not stay here. If you do... Well, I might have a harder time getting a room and/or paying more. So, yeah, definitely do not stay here. 😉

Situated on the black sands of Kauai, the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands, these oceanfront cottages in Waimea have been restored with plantation-period furniture and feature patios overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Charming collection of old cottages on site fronting a quiet beach. The cottages are all slightly different, but well equipped, comfortable and clean. It is charming and understated . The details on the Booking.com site really undersell the property. There are beautiful sunsets and the grounds are lovely to walk in. The property does have an independently run restaurant and bar on site. Close to the Waimea Canyon, so you can get a morning head start on other visitors.

Volcano Hale offers a flat-screen TV and a shared bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and shower. Old historic property with a lot of charm. Very convenient location for exploring the National Park.

Kalani Oceanside Retreat features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Pahoa, 2.3 km from Kehena Black Sand Beach.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy hiking nearby, or make the most of the garden. The location was beautiful, so relaxing, tranquil and still close to a town. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We wished we got to do more of the classes /events on. Next time 😊

Located in Waimanalo, 80 metres from Waimanalo Beach and 1.3 km from Kaiona Beach Park, Waimanalo Beach Cottages provides accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and sea views. Private parking is available on site.

A barbecue is available on site and hiking can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. Very close to the beach 2 minutes walking, watched the sunrise every day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can borrow all kinds of things for the beach (snorkel, body boards, frisbee…) for no fee. We had the best time!

Overnight lodgers must enroll in Lumeria’s daily classes or be part of a focused retreat group. Lumeria’s onsite restaurant, The Wooden Crate, serves farm-to-table nourishing and delicious meals to students, retreats, community patrons and visitors, and The Wellness Spa at Lumeria offers bodywork, massage and healing arts therapies and private lessons. I read reviews on booking before deciding to stay here, and then made the mistake of looking at google reviews before I actually arrived. Needless to say, they were wrong. This place is FANTASTIC! No, there is no AC, no television. That’s the point of the place. There are a variety of classes everyday. No, they are not all advanced yoga for champs. Again, that’s something you can do with the place though, can have your own advanced yoga retreat. Yes, the staff IS wonderful! They all offer suggestions on things to do and see. They are all kind. They are all chill. Yes, the place is clean. But there are plants and animals abound, feral chickens and cats, snails, lizards. And the wind blows. Sometimes there are leaves blowing about. Often times there are rainbows. The views are magical. You can see both sides of the island from the hill where the retreat sits. There is always a soft rustle in the abundant trees on the property. There is plenty of shade to avoid being overheated. (Caveat, I visited in November, so I can’t speak to summer months.) I found the place quiet, peaceful, restorative. Exactly as advertised. Highly recommend massage with Tanmayo. She is incredible! The pool and hot tub are wonderful. Great location - love the wall of shrubbery making the space very private. I will return, as often as i can!

Trails are located near the Cabins at Kokee. The nearest airport is Lihue Airport, 34 km from the property. Such a dreamy place to stay. It’s a simple cabin in the woods.
