Located in Inveraray and within less than 1 km of Inveraray Castle, Brambles of Inveraray features a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. This 4-star inn offers a 24-hour front desk. We loved our stay of 2 nights in the Garden suite! Simply amazing! When we arrived we had a very nice warm welcome of Victoria, one of the owners of Brambles of Inverary. The Garden suite is just lovely! Amazing comfortable beds and sofa in front of the tv. My compliments to the housekeeper who specially arranged the stuffed animals of my daughter on her bed when we came back in our room. This totally made her feel really special. Brambles had their own restaurant and coffee café accross the street. In their restaurant they serve during the day nice lunches including amazing pastries and cakes. I was personally in heaven with 1 of their specialties, the blue berry lemon curd cake with lemon frosting. It's a good thing for my health that I do not live here haha. The first night we also had dinner at the restaurant of Brambles. This was also really excellent. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. This restaurant is nice for any kind of group. In the morning we had breakfast at Brambles which was included. You could choose something cooked from the menu and you were able to take anything you wanted from the counter. Like croissants, cereals or juices. We had Eggs Benedict, very tasty! Brambles is located at the main street of Inverary. Within 10 minutes walk of the Inverary castle and 1 minute walk of the Inverary Jail. Both I definitely recommend to visit! In the area there are also really nice hikes you can do for example go up the mountain 250 metres high to the look out point of Dun Na Cuaiche. Trust me it's worth it! The view at Inverary and Loch Fyne is breahttaking! Next time if Inverary is on our route, we will again book our stay with Brambles!

Situated in Gatehouse of Fleet, 49 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, Masonic Arms Gatehouse has a number of amenities including a garden, a restaurant and a bar. Very comfortable bed, large shower. The hotel also provided us with a steamer as they knew we were going to attend the wedding. Very sweet girl at the breakfast (for additional price but massive portions)

Set in Stirling, 12 km from Lake of Menteith, Black Bull Gartmore offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. what’s not to like about this lovely hotel?! first of all, we liked very much the idea that it belongs to the community of Gartmore , thus giving it a sense of familiarity and warmth. rooms spacious and very clean, hearty breakfast and a nice, cozy pub to unwind! the manager of the hotel told us about the history of the place and how it ended being sold to the people of Gartmore and we will definitely return!

Set in Oban, 26 km from Dunstaffnage Castle, The Kilchrenan Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

Located in Strathyre, 28 km from Lake of Menteith, The White Stag Inn provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The property was recently renovated and is in good condition; the new owners have put a lot of time into making it hospitable and attractive. Parking was easy and the location cannot be beat! Walking, hiking, and so many activities right outside the door. The hosts are very considerate and even included milk for tea/coffee in the small refrigerator and plenty of tea bags and extra coffee. The pub is welcoming and the food was great. Fantastic place and we look forward to returning!

The very friendly and congenial proprietor is an award-winning chef and is also highly knowledgeable about his wines and spirits. He offers an array of rare and obscure alcoholic treats, and you should definitely true the aged rum! The dinner and breakfast menus were fantastic - lots of local and homemade fare, and gluten-free options for almost everything.

The rooms were perfectly cleaned, Big and cozy, lots of towels, the furniture is outstanding, comfortable beds and armchairs, breakfast is good, you can grab a snack 24/7 , there is a little table in the aisle full of snacks, the restaurant is not expensive and the food is delicious, all the people working here are extremely kind, they treated me as a prince, I felt like if I was at home, they made my stay beautiful! highly recommended!! Huge value for money!! Quality and quantity and not expensive at all! You won't believe it as long you don't try it!
