Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. An absolutely wonderful place to stay to experience a traditional Japanese Ryokan. The breakfasts were varied each day and beautifully presented. The fact that the Ryokan is located at the start of the Zenkoji temple complex made it even better. It was only 3km from the train station so okay walking without bags. The advantage is because of its position you could walk just a few meters to pick up a taxi to the station which only cost 1200Y.

Property was clean and comfortable. Also the host was very kind and cooperative. We did late check in which was also smooth and the food was also good. Host also offered us complimentary ride to the nearest station. Also gave us apples on our way back. Overall the stay was very comfortable.

Staff was incredibly friendly. Appartement really spacious for Japanese standards, modern, clean, well equipped. Location not very near to train station, but easy (and affordable!) to catch a taxi at the train station. We came by car; free parking available. Quiet location, large supermarket nearby. Matsumoto is a great travellers' hub for day trips nearby.

This is the most warm and homely place. Even my own house feels cold and uninviting now that I have stayed in the Guest House. The Guest House is without a doubt the best place I’ve stayed in my life and I wish Koji and Chikako were my real parents. Jake and Anna were amazing friends and made sure we were well looked after despite our best efforts to blunder our way through the week. Couldn’t recommend staying here more!!

Our one night at Takimi House was the highlight of our two-week trip to Japan. The hosts, a lovely couple, made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and hospitality were truly exceptional. The food was another standout aspect of our stay. Every meal was delicious, but the miso soup was particularly incredible. It was the best we’ve ever had! Additionally, the hosts picked us up and dropped us back off at the train station in Nagiso which was incredibly helpful given the remote location of Takimi House. This extra touch made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, Takimi House provided an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan.

Kisoji no Yado Iwaya se nachází v destinaci Kiso v regionu Nagano. Jen 41 km odtud je Takato Joshi Park. The service was exceptional and exemplary. They went over and beyond when addressing our requests. The hotel owner even followed us all the way to the convenience store after we had checked out just to give us additional information about our transportation to our next destination.

Ryokan Warabino se nachází v destinaci Takayama. Zoo Suzaka je 12 km daleko a Chrám Zenkodži 24 km. Tento ryokan se 3 hvězdičkami nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi a zahradu. Rooms are spacious and feels like home. Private onsen baths are really nice. The location is bit far from train station and buses are not frequent. They provided shuttle transportation to and from train station free of cost. And Delicious Japanese dinner and breakfast.

Hotel Yamabuki se nachází v destinaci Komagane a poskytuje ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm a tenisovým kurtem. Takato Joshi Park je 26 km daleko. Hot Spring was great with clean hot bath, and the staff welcomed us kindly even we arrived close to 9 pm.

Tomareru Himitsukichi L-Base se nachází v destinaci Macumoto a nabízí ubytování s bezplatným Wi-Fi a klimatizací, kola zdarma a zahradu. The kids squealed with delight as they walked into the room. The climbing wall and swing chair helped get some of that 5 year old energy out in the morning and before bed. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Facilities in the room made the stay super comfortable. And convenience items were available at the front desk.
