Our flight got delayed, and they were waiting for us at the pier to help us with our bags and find our way late at night. They answer all our questions about activities, prices, and directions. Abu is helpful and very diligent Egyption YOUNG guy(not by his age), he do help us a lot for the trip, and information. He has a really lovely personality and really care about everyone a lot. It's like if you want to interact with local people but not only see the touristy places and leave, You guys must be here! Very very good cultural experience! I just feel so pity like we stay here for only one night and speak to our landlord only two times. Crying!!!!! Cry!!!!

The location, the owner, everything in this apartment was great. If you will spent the night in Abu Simbal you definitely should stay in this apartment. 10 min by walk from the temple. The breakfast is included and it will in the nearby hotel Tuya which also a good place to take a drink or to eat while waiting for the night show. But the most important thing that you need to know is the kindness of the owner. He was helping us, before, during and after our stay. Thank you so much

I had a wonderful stay at Airkela Nuba Dool 2. It is run by amazing people and this is what I appreciated most, after even having seen wonderful temples of Abu Simbel, Philae, Unfinished Obelisk, and the Nubian Village. We felt like we were at home. People there are super helpful 24/7, warm, kind and nice. One of the best hotels I have ever been to. You won’t feel like you are tired after you come back from a day trip to Abu Simbel or Philae. Just an amazing place!!! Can’t describe how comfy I felt there. You feel like you are dreaming while being at Airkela located on the Elephantine island - in the middle of the Nile river and the most stunning part of the town of Aswan. The host organised everything for us after we asked him to help us with trips to several temples and sites near Aswan. You can even request a tour to Abu Simbel and all the stuff is organised for you swiftly just hop on the car with super nice drivers. I am still processing how amazing it was to stay at Aswan. The rooms are exquisitely beautiful, furnished with Nubian styled colourful furniture and have beautiful views over the Nile. You will find yourself in some fairy tail. We could not believe that we were staying in such a fantastic place. My friends and I arrived at midnight and the host organised a car for us which brought us to the hotel. The hotel is on the island as I mentioned above and to go to the bank in Aswan one has to take a super cute boat which functions every 15 minutes and takes 2-3 minutes to go to the other side of the Nile. The hotel also has a boat which you can ask to rent and the employees will take you on the tour on the Nile and to the majestic Nubian village to buy some local yummies and spices as well as locally made souvenirs. Airkela is a true paradise for holidaymakers! I 100% recommend this place! Cheers to its owners and people who work there! I miss you!

We planned to stay one night in Abu Simbel and we ended staying two! the village is very relaxing, quite, good food and the people are beautiful. The light show at Abu Simbel temple is amazing and unforgettable. Ramadan can also organise a boat trip if you want, he is an amazing host and guide, he helps you with anything you need and want to do. We received free transportation to the temple and he also helped us to get a private ride to Aswan in a a very good price. The apartment is very comfortable and clean, the bed and pillows too. It is a shame so many tours just come to see the temples for the morning before returning to Aswan, as they miss out the wonderful, calm atmosphere here. We highly recommend to stay here! This was the best hotel I stayed out of 4 (up to 4 stars) during my trip in Egypt. The owner, Fatima, and the manager welcomed me with smile and tea and made sure that I feel comfortable. Once I learned that I’ll be the only guest for the first night, I was a little worried but Fatima and her lovely daughter, Rana who is a little shy and well behaved, kindly stayed over at the property. They offer you couple tour options but once you clarify your preference, they are not pushy at all. The view from the room and the balcony is stunning and I had nice chilling evenings. You can reach to several restaurant and a shop by walk as well as to the main island by boat 24/7 with just 10EGP during the day or 50EGP at night. The property is basic but has good wifi and a warm shower. If I have a chance to visit again, I would like to stay for a week to do nothing but to relax.
