A really great experience in general - I stayed in one of the suites and could not have asked for a more relaxing and peaceful place to stay, only a short walk from Okunoin Cemetary and an easy walk to the rest of town. Very close to the bus stop from Koyasan Station. Staff were always helpful and the meals were unbelievably delicious and satisfying, even though I needed to ask for a soy-free modification. The best food I ate during my stay!

Amazing place to stay. The morning prayer was definitely a highlight. Loved all of it. The temple is beautiful, with amazing gardens. The room was also very nice, spacious and well equipped. Staff was very kind. Dinner was served in a private dining room, the food was very nice (but if you cant eat Japanese food definitely bring something to eat as you cant buy anything at the temple). The onsen was modern and clean, men and women are separated. Thank you very much, would definitely recommend!

39 km from Kishi Station in Koyasan, 高野山 宿坊 光明院 -Koyasan Shukubo Komyoin- provides accommodation with access to a hot tub. It is situated 45 km from Matsushita Park and offers luggage storage space. Clean, quiet, beautiful, meaningful. Words are not enough to describe.

Set in Koyasan and only 38 km from Kishi Station, Koyasan Shukubo Fugenin offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. We stayed two nights in Koyasan at Fugen-in temple and it left a long-lasting impression of serenity and kindness. The temple has a long history and many works of art. Attending the morning prayer was a meditative experience. The monks were very friendly and explained about the Haiku temple in Fugen-in's garden. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, so well-balanced and lovingly prepared. The room was clean and had everything we needed, we felt well taken care of. The water of the onsen was very hot and relaxing. Fugen-in's location is perfect, very central and right around the corner of the tourist information. What also stays with us is the beautiful sound of the local cicadas.

Minshuku Sumiya asub Tanabes, kõigest 12 km kaugusel Hosshinmon Oji pühamust. Kohapeal on vabaõhuvann, baar ja majapidamisteenus. The owner is just fantastic! Great personality, we loved all our interactions. At the end, he drove us to Kogumotori-oji for our hike. The mattress is comfortable and the breakfast is good. He prepared lunch boxes for us on request. The minshuku has robes for bathing in the hot springs and I loved how welcoming the atmosphere was. I want to return someday.

Offering a garden and garden view, 高野山 宿坊 不動院 -Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin- is located in Koyasan, 45 km from Matsushita Park and 47 km from Subaru Hall. Love the place, environment and people. The food and onsen were great.

Hotell Kirinosato Takahara asub maailmapärandi nimistusse kuuluvast Kumano Kodo palverännakuteest vaid 2-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Kohapeal on kuumaveeallikate veega väli- ja sisebasseinid. This place is truly magical. It’s located in the first village on the kumano trail, so it’s perfect for those people who wants to do the short hike on the first day. The host and his wife are amazing and were so friendly that we felt like home straight away. They serve the dinner and breakfast and so far it was the most amazing meals we had during Kumano experience. Not to forget the view and magic mist we saw on the evening.
