I really loved the ajinkan meditation and how the monk was kind and cheerful and pleasant. It was such a nice experience to learn something new and to have such a pleasant person that you can ask about meditation. It was so nice! The dinner was really fantastic and I was most pleasantly surprised how warm the room was because it was cold season.

It was truly outstanding experience from the cleanliness of the place to the overall vibes of the temple, the surroundings, the yard and everything it was just perfect

We loved the garden. Once in a life-time to experience the morning ceremony and to have the meals in the dining room. Thank you for being so welcoming!

Guest House Takiyoshi se nachází v destinaci Hongú a nabízí pokoje s klimatizací a sdílenou koupelnou. This hotel is run by the kindest couple, and I’m still thinking about how good dinner and breakfast were. Some of the best meals of my trip! You can also order lunch for the trail. The onsen was wonderful after a long day hiking. Room was on the 3rd floor and very quiet, it was compact and simple, very clean, with everything you might need, including yukatas for dinner and towels for the onsen. Shared toilets and sinks in the hall were never busy; there are two communal showers inside the onsen. I asked about laundry and they took mine and washed it for me within a few hours! The bus stop to Shingu or Hongu was a one-minute walk from the hotel. Yunomine Onsen was such a unique town, I feel lucky to have stayed here and enjoyed such great hospitality!

Great location, just a few minutes’ walk from the start of the atmospheric path to Okunoin Temple. Food was excellent and the Buddhist monks who run the place take good care of you. The meditation sessions, and especially the fire ritual, are memorable. Fantastic value overall.

Just incredible experience!! The monks were so warming and welcoming, they really made us feel at home. The whole experience was enlightening and to learn more about their faith and take part in the morning prayers was truly a unique experience!

Minshuku Sumiya se nachází na výhodném místě ve čtvrti Kawayu Onsen v destinaci Tanabe. I loved staying here and it was one of my favorite places I stayed while hiking the Kumano Kodo. The owner is a cool, laidback guy. He gave me a tour of everything when I arrived. We had access to robes for the onsens, a massage chair, and delicious coffee. The vegan bento box I received for lunch was wonderful! Plus, my room had a river view.

高野山 宿坊 不動院 -Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin- se nachází v destinaci Kojasan a poskytuje ubytování s zahradou a neplacené soukromé parkoviště pro hosty, kteří přijedou autem. Parking right in front, very clean and the food vegetarian food was wonderful. The temple itself is beautiful, and I highly recommend the morning prayer service which is partially in English. There was a female monk that chanted beautifully! Make sure you check in as early as possible to get the full experience.

Located in Koyasan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 高野山 宿坊 常喜院 -Koyasan Shukubo Jokiin- offers free private parking. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. We loved the experience! It will be unforgettable!

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara se nachází pouhé 2 minuty chůze od poutních cest Kumano Kodo zapsaných na seznamu světového dědictví a nabízí venkovní i vnitřní termální lázně. Everything was perfect - the owners, the room, the food, the view, the Oncen. Se highly recommend it
