We booked a suite and it was so worth the money paid - huge room, comfortable bed, massive sofa (like a second bed), hinoki bathtub was the size of a small swimming pool and ofcourse the onsen on the balcony with the most breathtaking views of the Atami! We also had a fridge stocked with complementary drinks + welcome cookies every day! They also offer you a welcome drink at the tea salon located on Lvl 8! The dinner was delicious and beautifully presented; traditional breakfast was not far behind! Absolutely loved our stay and would love to stay here again someday!

The Japanese-style rooms at Historical Ryokan Hostel K's House Ito Onsen are air-conditioned and come with traditional tatami-mat flooring. Most rooms enjoy beautiful views of the Matsukawa River. Good location, really nice Onsen and excellent food near by.

We were supposed to go to Tokyo the last 3 days of our holiday, but we where glad that we canceled that, and went to Shikuoka instead! The falls and wasabi fields and hikes nearby were great excursions, and then come back to the villa was a real dream! Also there were no other guests, so we had the whole place for ourselves…. He guided us the unique flavors of each type of food and the best way of eating with various sauces and condiments. He took the initiative to give us pamphlets about the sight-seeing spots nearby. We took his advice and did another hour of touring to learn more about Atami. It was a very hospitable and warming journey we had had with this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful and surprised us with a beautiful cake celebrating our honeymoon! The room was immaculate and so nicely made up with great views and excellent use of space with so much storage. Excellent amenities and super comfy beds. The bathroom with private indoor/outdoor onsen was fantastic. The staff helped us book massages and taxi transfers. A perfect quiet retreat during our busy trip to Japan.

Service was above and beyond and the accommodation was extremely comfortable.

Set 10 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Yumeguri no Yado Yoshiharu offers 5-star accommodation in Izunokuni and has a garden. Ideally located in the Izu Nagaoka Onsen district, this ryokan provides a terrace, as well as a hot tub. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. I would say this is a hidden gem for a non japanese speaking tourist. Its quite far from popular destination but everything about this inn so so perfect. The hospitality, the cleanliness, the food, all of those are superb. Not to mention the onsens. We got to choose different private onsen room, one of them is jacuzzi! Cant praise this inn enough. We were so happy, even my wife started to cry when we had to leave this property. Definitely will recommend to other travelers.

The owners are amazing, they really care about you being comfortable. The area is super quiet, it’s a small and beautiful town. You can take a train (every 30minutes) to koghen or atagawa which has restaurants and a beach, it’s one stop from hokawa. I’d really recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep.
