Free upgrade on booking.com to balcony view rooms. Super location for the Embarcadero and the Ferry building where we went everyday for some food options. Best gluten free bakery for our coeliac daughter. Trams and underground went from outside in every direction, including ball park, union square and wharf. All walking distance too if you prefer. No breakfast, but the hotel recommends one of the local diners and provides a discount card to use for every morning of the stay. We had received an outstanding service upon checkin. Dave (if i remember correctly) at the reception, while chatting to us about the trip and the plans, when found out it was our honeymoon trip, kindly upgraded our room and sent us a bottle of fizz. They went to the extra effort of bringing up a bottle of wine and some small gifts for our honeymoon. The hotel was super stylish! The hotel scent was also amazing… so much so that we went to the effort of asking what it was so that we could purchase it. This is now the fragrance we use for our home in Australia. I swam in the pool twice, it was great that it was heated because it was very chilly in San Francisco! The hotel is very central and there are great transport links to all over the city. A lovely courtyard pool with sun and shade. Small but functional gym. A really central location with everything in walking distance. We received a room upgrade as it was my husbands birthday with a welcome bottle of champagne and snacks which was a lovely gesture.
