Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaTo Management, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your property and while many aspects were enjoyable, I would like to highlight several areas that require attention. Arrival & First Impressions Staff could be more welcoming on arrival. Refresher towels and welcome drinks were not offered proactively, and we had to request them — a detail that should come standard at a hotel of this level. Facilities & Spa It is unreasonable that guests are not allowed to use the rim-flow pool at the spa without paying extra. Additionally, spa prices are extremely high compared to value received. Dining Experience Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were excellent (10/10 for all three). However, the constant drum noise from the boma dinner disturbed the peace and quiet for guests dining on the patio. Daytime service around the pool was inattentive, with staff not engaging with guests. Sunset Cruise The sunset cruise was a major disappointment and did not match the high standard of the rest of the hotel. At such a premium price, value was lacking. Guests could have been welcomed with refresher towels, but this was overlooked. The snacks were particularly poor — previous evening’s leftover desserts, limited variety, and below the expected standard. Drinks were equally underwhelming, tasting watered down, with no ciders, shooters, or proper garnishes for gin. The overall drinks menu lacked variety for a five-star establishment. Staff were inattentive, slamming kitchen doors, and the music selection did not suit the setting. Transport Unlike other Radisson hotels, no complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport was offered. Even transfers to the falls could have been considered, as this is common in hotels of similar standard. Conclusion While the property itself is beautiful and some aspects were truly excellent, the inconsistencies in service, attention to detail, and guest experience were disappointing.
Everything was spectacular. Beautiful property, well maintained, friendly staff in restaurant and very attentive to the guest’s needs. Pool snd view of river beautiful.Rooms gorgeous, Linen, towels crisp white, fresh and clean.

South AfricaI would like to give a practical suggestion on wheelchair accessibility to the recreational areas of the hotel. We chose Radisson Blu, as it is advertised as wheelchair friendly. Although they are rooms that are wheelchair friendly, the view deck, lounging area around the pool, gazebos, gym were not accessible - having at least 2 steps on front. I would suggest creating a ramp to each of those areas. As a temporary solution hotel should have a portable ramp that can be used. I would also suggest having a foldable shower chair available for guests with limited abilities. As wheelchair accessible room is best, but it’s not always essential as the other rooms are equally spacious and having a special shower chair can be enough.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Radisson Blu. Rooms were very comfortable, ground absolutely beautiful and everything very well maintained. Service at the Restorant and room cleaning were of high standard.

SingaporeWhile my stay was generally quite good, my exit experience soured it a bit. I paid for late check-out, which was good until 5pm from the info provided to me. On my last day, multiple members of the housekeeping staff sought me out to ask what time I was leaving - in the hall, knocking on my door, etc - and one even tried to enter my room without knocking (luckily I had locked the door) after I had already provided my departure time of 4:30pm, and who knows if any tried while I was away for a few hours on an excursion. Not only was it annoying, but it also made me feel unwelcome, as if I was being hurried out! I understand it's a busy resort and the staff are likely trying to be most efficient, but if late check-out can't be comfortably accommodated by the staff then it shouldn't be offered. Otherwise, guests should be able to able to enjoy the additional hours they've paid for in peace. I shared this feedback when I checked out and the front desk staff member abruptly answered a call in the middle of it before offering an apprehensive apology. I hope this is not typical.
Overall the hotel is very nice - the size and amenities, right on the Zambezi river, it is definitely a treat to stay there. The sunset Zambezi river cruise is a must-do! The ticket price includes heavy appetizers and an open bar, and the views are stunning. You'll likely see some wildlife like hippos, elephants and crocodiles. Food overall was good, try the village chicken stew. The rooms are the caliber you would expect for this level hotel, though depending on where you are located, facing the river, noise from the pool, pool bar area, and live music certain nights can get a bit loud. The hotel facilitates an airport shuttle through another company - I found them to be exceedingly punctual and friendly, an unexpected bonus. I booked other excursions on my own, but I know they also have some available. The falls are very nearby and you will see elephants along the main road as well as baboons (tip - don't carry food to the falls as it attracts the baboons) I did also use the spa; I pre-booked my appointment online through the website before arriving as there was an online discount. Unfortunately, I was still charged full price initially, but management was able to correct the issue.

ZambiaFood is the biggest drawback. As vegetarian Indian there is no option available at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Indian families prefer to go outside to eat food. This is the biggest drawback. Management should look into this to attract more visitors like us.
