The quality of rooms differed in the compound - at first I was in an old room and was then moved into a new room which was considerably better.

Loved the staff and their friendliness - easily the nicest and most helpful people. The compound is spacious and consists of different houses with a lot of green in between. Especially the breakfast area is very pretty. You can get a drink and good food at the reception. The breakfast is cereals and you can order eggs and toast and avocados from time to time - not a elaborate breakfast but enough for me, especially considering it is included in the price.

The breakfast could use some improvement. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cover the entire compound.

We absolutely loved our time here and wished we had stayed longer. Our 8-year-old enjoyed running around the huge garden and climbing the trees. The staff was fantastic. The dinner, especially the barbecued fish, was one of the best I had on our trip to Zambia—rustic and tasty. We will be back.

There was no hot water and the dorm rooms were somewhat basic. No ladders to get on top bunk and minimal outlets.

A bit away from the hustle of the main city. Mini bus station right there or fairly cheap Yango to center. Big mall across the road. Alot of space.

Rooms have no bins , need to give blankets since it’s winter , would run out of tissue in toilets . Breakfast should not be the same daily maybe if you alternate with beans, liver or beef sausage

The dirty pool with algae on the sides. Hard to get towels and toilet paper. Once you know it’s a problem you learn to ask for it.

It was close to the mall, Thai massage and Chinese Accupunture.

The place is very beautiful and the environment is very warm, but it is old and seems to have been neglected for a while. It could do with a lot of maintenance but generally I would go back, and I do love their dogs especially Coco, I am not a dog person but I love Coco she never barked at me she was very friendly as if she knew I’m not a dog person, she makes you fall in love with her from a distance

    - still did not receive the invoice via mail (which was agreed on) - they were not prepared to support a trip to the national park (did not indicate the price, nor a phone number of a driver...) - quite some things in the rooms were broken/not in good condition (fan had no plug but only the blank cables which were supposed to be put directly into the power plug 😂)

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The garden is nice and it was very calm. The wifi worked well. The location was very close to the conference venue.

The women's dorm was hot with only one floor fan for 6 beds and only 2 lockers. Pool wasn't working which was a real bummer as it was so hot and the pool was a main reason in choosing to stay here.

The cook makes very tasty omelets. Evelyn the receptionist is very helpful with information, asked another employee to walk me to the bus stop so I'd know where it was, and got a taxi for me when I left. The property is quite large and good garden space for hanging out and meeting other traveller's. I'm glad it wasn't busy in late December but it was clean. Good location near East Park Mall 10 minute walk and if you are desperate, 10 minute walk to Radisson hotel where pool day pass costs 400 kwacha.

There is only one issue with the dorm I've been to: there is no ladder in a bunk beds (yeah, crazy). Even if they are not so high, you literally need to climb there if you have assigned top bunk. One night I came back late at night and didn't want to disturb others, so didn't turn on the light and fall down trying to get to my bed. It should be fixed IMO.

The breakfast was poor. I turned up and sat at a table and no one took an order for eggs or anything. I went up to the table and there was just tea, coffee and cereal there. I was expecting eggs like everywhere else in Africa. The breakfast arrangements weren't clear. Also, the pool was absolutely filthy and hadn't been cleaned in ages. The floor of the pool was slippery from a build up of....algae? Paths to some of the rooms need smore light at night. The rooms are pretty basic and some of the windows don't shut properly so let insects like mosquitoes in. Bathrooms need updating too. The showers weren't good. Old and not enough water comes through.

There was a bar and café, that was great. Staff were quite attentive, although did tend to chat to each other when a customer was standing at the desk.
