Generally, they lacked consistent attention to excellence by ALL staff to ensure guests are fully welcome and their needs are addressed. No assistance with luggage at check in and check out. No concierge service or structure to help families plan and enjoy vacation. Need better onboarding and welcoming to property that is tailored to guests as they arrive. Miscommunication on pool bar timing and some staff insisted on being right at expense of guests arriving. Some front reception staff need better training to assist guests- too lackadaisical and felt like they were doing us a favor.

Location. Ocean front villas. Johnny’s bar and the swings! Beautiful. Cure Spa was perfect even though independent but on property. Some really exceptional staff - Lesroy, Grace, Kitze, John made out stay wonderful

Stylish boutique hotel on a fantastic beach

Check-in was painful. The room was not ready at check in time and they couldn't even find a few beach towels for us to use while we waited (but kudos to the young man who went to the laundry to try to get some). The pool area desperately needs some shade. Lots of concrete and glaring sun.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Smack on a gorgeous beach - waves practically come up to the stairs of the bar. We also liked the overall size and vibe. Less resorty - more boutique. We had a beautiful, contemporary ocean front room. Friends had a room on the hill and it was a bit dated. Don't miss the walk/ride to Smuggler's Cove or the tacos at Patricia's bar.

Pool area was not that inviting and did not have a lot of shade options. Beach by the hotel was very difficult for swimming due to rocks.

Very nice rooms and food was good. Gym was large and well equipped.

There were very few sun beds for the hillside rooms along the beach front. Be aware there is a daily amenities fee to pay in addition to the price given on Booking.com. For the prices charged we expected a higher quality of Hillside room finish.

Location, beach front and the views are lovely. Rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Pool area and grounds were superb.

At no fault to the resort, it is a bit tricky to get to. Make sure you are timing your taxi, and ferry rides with your flights on another island. While it does take some effort to get to, it’s well worth it in the end.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our island vacation. I booked a beachfront walkout room and it was incredible. The views are stupendous, and the resort was clean and grounds kempt. We loved the large private patio, easy access to the beach, and close proximity to the bar/restaurant. The pool is across the street hillside, but was still easy to find and the bartender was friendly. Staff was helpful and polite. I recommend taking advantage of morning yoga if it’s available on a morning you are there. We had very windy days so the waves were large, and couldn’t swim or kayak. However we did stroll down to the far east end of the beach and could walk out fairly far into the waves because there were no rocks at that end of the beach. The water is shallow, so boogie-boarding was great. Food at the restaurant is yummy, we especially loved the chicken wings and the blueberry pancakes! Overall a perfectly relaxing stay at this little gem of a resort.

We did not like that the hotel allowed day guests from cruise ships. They brought a different vibe, took up space at the bar as well as lounge chairs. Changed the mood of the place when they were there. Also did not appreciate that the pool was not open for our stay. That should have been better communicated.

Location is stellar, right on the pristine beach. Staff were incredibly friendly and wonderfully attentive, and went out of their way to cater to our every need. Rooms were recently redone and well appointed. Ground floor suite opened right up onto the beach and the location / spot was amazing. Restaurant was very good, especially for the Caribbean. We travel a lot and can say that this resort and the staff far exceeded our expectations. Intimate place, friendly staff, and top location on the beach.

Location is a little out of the way, you need taxis to go anywhere, so bring lots of cash for cabs and tips. Restaurant was good but menu (esp dinner menu) somewhat limited. It would be great if they offered an option with breakfast included when booking the room.

The staff were wonderful (Akil, Katelyn and the whole crew), they sent a taxi to the ferry terminal when we arrived after a long travel day, gave great suggestions for day activities and helped set them up with excellent drivers and guides. They were friendly, responsive, and got stuff done! The room was beautiful, comfortable, awesome view. The resort is right on the water, and if you want even more beach they will shuttle you for free to Smuggler's Cove, a lovely beach with a beach bar/cafe.

A bit tough to reach from Road Town. Instructions beforehand would have helped Rocky shoreline just at the water with bigger waves, not too protected of a bay. Small issue with how nice everything is

Banana dessert was a miss, far too much crust with little fruit or flavor.

The food, drinks, and coffee all were great at Long Bay. And the location allowed us to easily drive to restaurants nearby for a huge win win during our stay. Don’t forget to visit D Coalpot, Bananakeet, Sugar Mill, Smugglers Cove…and on & on! Each one of these truly added to our stay at Long Bay!

Hillside suites are a bit run down. Parts of the property appear still under renovation from Hurricane Irma, in addition to new construction. Beach is rocky with significant wave action. Beach nearby, which we were driven to, was fantastic.

Casual feel and amazing staff. They team bends over backwards, all very attentive.

Beach was a bit rocky once you got in the water. Construction of new villas was going on at the time of our visit, so it was a bit noisy. Roosters woke us up the first few mornings, but eventually sound blended in and became part of the overall charm of the resort. No instructions in the room on how to to use the streaming services. Room service did not come to our room, we had to order from the restaurant and then they ran us back and forth to our room. Would have been great if they had delivered directly so we could relax. No itemized bill provided at check-out, hard copy would be very much appreciated. Fan in the bathroom as VERY loud.

Food at on-site restaurant, 1748, was very good. Little coffee shop (also on-site) had good drinks and selection of pastries. Johnny's bar was fantastic. Stellar views of the ocean and wonderful concoctions. Rooms were cleaned well each day and staff was very accommodating and friendly. Decor in the room very pretty (looked exactly like on-line pictures) and linens were very comfortable. Location close to several other great restaurants (you will still need to drive, hills make walking very daunting). Close enough to walk to Smuggler's Cove, a nice little "hidden" beach. View of the ocean from our hillside villa was not blocked and very beautiful. We spent a lot of time on our deck, staggered construction offered privacy from other guests decks.

No bedside lights, service very slow. We met the brand new Manager and hopefully he will knock out the slow service, the areas between the buildings need neatening.. bedside lights and switches by the bedside to turn off lights instead of getting out of bed! Also we ate in the restaurant for 3 nights and the menu didn’t vary. No specials or any variation.

It is on a great beach.. Bedrooms large, airy, comfortable and clean.
