How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The beach was full of seaweed so we didn’t feel able to use it. The roads to the hotel are quite bad . The menu was limited. We had problems with the safe for the whole time we was there .

Verified reviewAll the food we had was very tasty and well portioned. Our Villa was spotless and seemed well maintained. The location and property itself is absolutely gorgeous. One thing to note is that the resort is on a far corner of the island away from most of the tourist activity. That being said, we preferred this and opted to rent a car. The drive to the town centre is a relaxing and enjoyable 20 minute drive with scenic views an no traffic slow downs to be found. All the staff were very courteous, friendly and were accommodating to any extra requests we may have had. Bequia seems like a very safe place, so safety concerns were not an issue.

Verified reviewWe've had an amazing time at the Liming. The Art of Doing Nothing indeed. The cabins are clean, comfortable and spacious. The private swimming pool is definitely very welcome, in addition to the shared one in the restaurant area. And the beach is beautiful, tranquille and most of the days, you feel you have the whole beach to yourself. Also, special mention to the staff who were incredibly helpful and friendly! Location wise, it's very peaceful, but far removed from the town center. Taxis were 70EC each way, so it starts to add up. We would probably rent a car if we were to go back. The breakfast and lunch menu could also use some diversity a sit stayed the same every day of our stay.

The main pool is rather small but quite nice. The beach could be better landscaped with more even sand and improved beach chairs. It would also be helpful to have water pots near the villas for washing sandy feet before entering the villa or villa pool. Additionally, I hope measures are being taken to prevent mosquito breeding areas. The gardens could also be improved. Lot of potential. Thanks.

Verified reviewAmazing Staff (professional, helpful, personable, kind) committed to customer service. Exceptional Room Facilities (well decorated, warm, good size) with everything needed (Toiletries, warm water, TV with multiple channels, A/C, fridge, paid mini-bar, comfortable bed, iron and ironing board, private pool, Wifi, etc. Plenty of free and available parking. Free pickup AND drop off from ferry and airport. Not overcrowded/perfect guest to property size ratio. Nice beach, reception area, open air dining. Breakfast included in price. Good value for price. Had a singer during lunch, which was a great touch.
Perhaps a few more menu choices, but since the hurricane they are working to ramp up to more menu choices.

Has experienced some hurricane damage to beach and terrace area so doesn’t currently match pictures. Mosquitos were particularly bad here. It is away from anything else so you are reliant on the in-house restaurant which has a very nice setting but limited menu.

Verified reviewWe were met off the boat and taken to the Liming Resort, the manager met us and took us to our two bedroomed villa, it was stunning. All the staff we had dealings with were lovely nothing was to much trouble. We went on an amazing boat trip to Tobago Cays, unfortunately the journey back was rough, my son rang ahead and the Manager Aaron was waiting for us took us back to the resort, bottle of water for us all and then those that wanted food were served in our villa.
Maybe a little far out if you wanted to get to anywhere, but that is obvious when you book. There is a shuttle and you just have to ask for it.

The dinning room was stunning, as it was outdoors, breakfast was fantastic, but I think perhaps the lunch and dinner menu needed a bit of a shake up. Very repetitive.
Thank you for the reply we appreciate all comments, but i find the comment about lunch and dinner menu is in need of a shake up to be a little strange. 95% of hotels, Fast food and restaurants do not change their menus over night! For guests we always offer them the option of alternatives if they do not fancy items from the menu. Thank you

Verified reviewThe resort is in a beautiful location, stunning views and the villas are very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and welcoming.
The “Rocky Road” from the airport and main road meant a very uncomfortable transfer to The Limings and as a result the property was a bit too far away from other restaurants and bars. The hedge at our one bedroom villa could have been trimmed to maximise on the view.
Dear Guest we thank you for the constructive comments We understand the road is not like a smooth highway, but at the same time that adds to the appeal of the venue, you can imagine if the road was all smooth the venue would be full of guests and then you would lose the charm of being a peaceful and secluded location. As for the trip to other restaurants this is the nostalgia of being in the Caribbean, taking the journey to get to another destination. It is not unsafe it is very simple and there is no rush, Several Caribbean countries have locations which have similar circumstances to our location. The hedges of the Property are actually to low and need to be grown further to invite the more privacy of the location. If you had written in the comments that you intend to lie all day on the sun lounger by the pool to look at the view then we could accommodate you. But unfortunately growing the hedge is not a overnight process and we cannot trim with the hope it grows back over night. Kind regards

It was quite a ways out of town and the road in from the airport is not paved so a pretty rough taxi ride in and out of town and it’s about 20 mins .

Yes our road is not the smoothest and we are working on improving it. 20 minutes is not a long distance bearing in mind we have very little traffic and windy roads. We are situated in the Caribbean and not in a large country like the USA so roads will not be the same in these countries. Thank you
