How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I would love to see them expand so there are more people staying there, but it is lovely as it is too.

Construction next door started very early and the gardener outside at 6:20 cutting grass.

Verified reviewWalking distance from several restaurants if you don't feeling like eating on-site. Walk out the back gate you've reached the sea. Walk out the front gate and you're on the main road with easily accessible public transport going in both directions. Room was well lit, spacious and well laid out with ample storage. Bathroom was clean and not too small with hot and cold and good water pressure. The air-conditioning worked well. Tea station with kettle was a nice touch. Desk in room was great for setting up work station and the WiFi connectivity was very good. Big comfortable bed and nice towels were provided. As a female travelling alone I felt very safe here. the staff was helpful and welcoming. Thank you Mr Wilfred 😀
A little more information about things to do and see could be made available. I asked about assistance with arranging tours and the lady was not helpful nor did she seem knowledgeable.

Verified reviewFood, drinks and staff were excellent. Good location, easy to catch local transportation, nightlife and restaurants near by. Towels were of superb quality. Great view and easy access to have dinner across the way on another small island. Staff was also accommodating upon request and friendly.
Bed was made daily but sheets were never changed. Floor felt like it was never cleaned in the four days as well. Big balcony but could be utilized better other than 2 chairs. Maybe a small table between the two chairs to have a coffee or tea and enjoy the view. A hammock or lounge chairs would even be appreciated.

Verified reviewThe room was a good size, comfortable and clean and everything worked. The staff were extremely friendly but also efficient. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Two small suggestions: 1. Consider providing insect spray or perhaps mosquito coils in the room as we had some bother from mosquitoes. 2. It would be useful to have a waste bin in the bedroom as well as in the bathroom.

Verified reviewSpacious clean room, exceptionally comfortable bed good bathroom. Breakfast good, they can cook fried eggs properly! Staff all friendly. Some noise from next door property music talking etc. didn’t go on too late. Only stayed one night as I was in transit. Will definitely do so again. One note of caution if there is a large cruise ship in and you want to get to the ferry dock allow at least quadruple time to get there.

Verified reviewLovely stay on the waterfront in Villa. Nice clean room, with good quality towels and bedlinen as well as a small fridge. Lovely omelette for breakfast. Very short walking distance to a few other bars and restaurants. No proper beach, but easy to get in the water from a strech of sand at the neighbouring property and from the jetty.

Verified reviewI was late to breakfast on my first morning. The very gracious Manager, Wilfred readily offered to make me breakfast. Not only did he make breakfast, i was treated his bespoke butler services. The entire experience was absolutely delightful. ful with the shaded outdoor garden setting and magnificent views of the water made it even more amazing. Much kudos to Wilfred and his team especially the sweet young lady who willingly took my photos.
An in-room guide for guests detailing breakfast times etc. Also directions on how to access TV channels etc and accurate wifi information.

Verified reviewIt was EXTREMELY clean and comfortable, and very spacious. The bed was really comfy, and the towels were so soft! We loved that the staff let us hang around all day the next day, working from the restaurant area, as we had a late flight - the fish burgers were delicious! WiFi was also great. And the staff were really friendly.
Unfortunately there is a bar next door that play loud music in the night so it can be a bit annoying when trying to sleep. Nothing to do with this property though as everything else was great. Just Recommend bringing ear plugs!
