“I absolutely loved staying here. The hotel used to be a madrassa, so it was such a unique experience to spend the night here. Not to mention the fact that it's actually located right INSIDE the walled city in Khiva, which made sightseeing so much easier especially in the summer. I will 100% be back!”
“The host was exceptionally kind and helpful. I would strongly recommend this property to any traveler.
The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and reasonably priced.
The location is excellent—conveniently close to the castle, yet pleasantly quiet.
If I return, I will certainly choose to stay here again.”
“Very nice Family owned Hotel with excellent breakfast and very nice owner in the center of Xiva! Ideal for a shorter or even longer stay in the beautiful City of Xiva!”
“The hotel is exactly in the middle of Ancient Khiva. The structure is completely renewed and the terrace is wonderful at sunset. The rooms are big, clean and confortable. The breakfast was the best we had in Uzbekistan. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Totally recommended!”
“This family owned hotel is a perfect place to be in Khiva. Lovely decorated, rooftop with a wonderful view, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, very clean. Located in Itchan Qala, close to all main attractions.
The family also helped me to organise the trip to the fortresses. Highly recommended!”
“The atmosphere was amazing: it is a beautiful madrasa close to the east gate of the old city. The place was very clean and the manager was very kind and helpful. Deeply recomend!”
“Safo-zhan is truly a caring host, who enjoys talking and learning from his guests. He speaks excellent English, and has been to the UK. There are only two rooms. Both with very quiet AC and good heavy curtains, and mosquito nets. The beds are very firm, which I like. The shared kitchen is very modern, with a wonderfully HUGE sofa, where people can share stories and chat. It is a 5 minutes walk from the station and under 10 minutes walk to the old town (East gate). A huge brand new supermarket (ANJIR) open daily until midnight, is also 5 minutes walk. There is a brand new walking boulevard in a direct line between the Station and the old town's East gate. From the station, walk for 350m until you see the XAZARASP GATE (Xazorasp darvocasi). The entrance to Safo Guesthouse courtyard, is about 70m BEFORE this Gate (when coming from the station) and is the last arch-way / entry, ON YOUR LEFT. Go through the archway and the guesthouse is two houses further, on your right.”
