The mattresses and pillows are covered with some kind of plastic covering... Don't feel great while sleeping. Maybe change to normal mattress covers. Also the mattresses are quite done in all of these rooms and need changing.

Lovely volunteers and Michael the German host is a great person. The 6 bed dorm room is beautiful and spacious, it is very nice that you can store your stuff underneath the beds, but without the annoying drawers. 4 bed dorm room is very very small though. Should be a two bed room. Not 4. The private room Rosario was absolutely beautiful. Felt like a home. The kitchen is small but big enough and is very well equipped. Everything was cleaned everyday and was always ready to use and enjoy. Lovely rooftop terrace as well! Great location next to several bus stations and right in front of a park to enjoy nature and see the fairs on the weekends.

This hostel is easily the warmest I've ever been to in my years of travel. And by warm, I mean hospitable, magical, safe, and literally like a family. It is also super clean, aesthetically pleasing (if you care haha), and all of the staff including the owners feel like friends who were waiting to welcome and embrace me. I had a magical week there and will be back for Pablo, Michael, Vincent, and Laura!!! Book the stay here, it is home.

The location just around the corner of Parque Rodó is good considering the Montevideo old town is a rather gloomy place especially after dark. By contrast Rodó park is adjacent to Ramirez beach and the more modern and comfortable parts of town are close by. After having stayed at two other very noisy hostels in the city, Youki Haus managed by a German-French couple, is quiet and if there is a complaint about noise, they know where you are talking about and solve the issue. Moreover, there are several spaces like a living room and a roof terrace where you can retreat. The kitchen is well-equipped and never dirty! The hostel managers are always around to address any queries or just for a chat. Really very social people, as well as the other members of staff. All facilities like hot shower, toilets, WiFi worked well. Spanish, English, German and French fluently spoken by the management.

The owners of the hostel are extra nice and friendly, as well as the staff working there. The house has a very nice vibe, the rooftop is awesome and we made some awesome friends over here, all over the world. Also, there is a barbecue on the rooftop for making some awesome steaks. Definitely will stay in memory.

The place is good, clean, infrastructure is good and it has all the services needed for travelers. The reception guy was amazing and super kind . Overall an amazing experience I recommend.

Only issue (for me) is that it lacks a place where to relax and where to work. No big sofa (except one which is in the “reception area”) or tables where to work. There’s a big table again the reception but you feel like you are a bit in the reception area “activities”. Other then that it’s a great place to stay!

Staff was sooo welcoming, love them and the place is very clean and tidy. The kitchen is very well equipped.

Only one main bathroom with shower is a little tight if many travellers stay there.

The house is nice to meet other travellers and in a pretty good location. The kitchen is food to prepare hime meals. My room was small but very cute and comfortable.

I just loved staying here so much kindness and care but into the property. Met the owners who are standup guys and their wonderful staff. Dorms had all the provisions one needs - good Wi-Fi, breakfast , coffee, an intimate living room to socialize and wonderful rooftop garden for evenings and mornings. Close to the beach, park and Sunday market. Made my trip to Montevideo special. Many thanks 🙏

Very well presented hostel & the atmosphere is so laid back. I love the decor & rooftop to chill & for laundry :) obviously the owner has thought about it. Good kitchen facilities / fridge and everyone seems able to cook in good order. Mr. Hans & other friendly staff took good care of the guests.

The location is at an intersection of 3 streets, hence there is a constant traffic noise present.

The hostel is centrallylocated, the cleaniness of the place was very good, the host and staff were extremely friendly and give it a warm atmosphere.

As others have mentioned, the lack of bathrooms is a real issue. We spent a lot of time waiting to shower. Two bathrooms is simply not enough for the number of people the hotel accommodates. Perhaps not having dorm rooms would improve this.

Private room was really good, with a comfy bed and a lovely calm view - we loved it. The roof terrace is a nice place to have breakfast or a beer. Good location in a quiet area. Kitchen is clean and well-equipped.
