The blanket smelled like some kind of chemical, there was no heater, it was very cold and not that clean.

The stuff is perfect super friendly, initiative to help, the price for staying is very good. The hostel is cute.

It's a good hostel, but bow well maintained, unfortunately. Cleaning could be better, as well as stained sheet, dirty bathrooms, and in general the hostel could be better. But, for the price, it's alright.

The female dorm felt like it used to be a four bedroom dorm and they managed to squeeze an extra bunk in. They only had four outlets, four hooks and four lockers in the room. Was a very tight squeeze.

The employees made our stay enjoyable. They invited us to social gatherings. Organised an AMAZING family dinner. So much food and it was soooo good! One of the best Asado’s I’ve had. The bathrooms were plentiful and clean and great water pressure in the showers. 5 minute walk to either beach. 2 minutes from the supermarket. Simple but old kitchen facilities.

The hostel is clearly being neglected, with old parts which need to be renovated. The kitchen is big but very old pots which needs to be replaced and just one refrigerator (the second is broken probably for a long time) which is not enough considering that there are people staying for long periods of time. And the vibes are a bit sketchy, I wouldn't leave my stuff alone in the common areas and the food gets stolen

The hostel is in a very good position, close to the bus terminal and the grocery store and perfectly in the middle between the two main beaches. It's the cheapest hostel in the area and the common areas are quite nice. It has 5 bathrooms which is great for the quantity of people staying. The beds are comfortable enough, even if they need new pillows. It has a lot of potential, but...

negative: it's a small space and if the hostel is full of people it will be very, very packed in the dorms. in my opinion there isn't enough space for the amount of people they squeeze in a dorm because of the luggage laying all over. if you don't mind this kind of mess allover then it might be the perfect place for you. in the hostel-rules it says the quiet-hours are from 02:00AM to 10:00AM so if you are okay with these times it's another plus for some people hahah. during our stay it was quiet earlier than 02:00AM. most staff were friendly except one seemed in a bad mood, better not to interact with him.

positive: very relaxed, alternative kind of vibe during the time we stayed there. a lot of spanish speaking travelers who chill out in the common areas. great for solo-travelers who want to socialize. beaches and supermarkets are a short walk away. most of the facilities worked fine. curtains in the dorms are great. a/c available. price is okay. potable water in the kitchen.

Unfortunately i had something i my bed. The day i woke up i had red spots everywhere on my body. Its almost impossible that i was biten by mosquitoes.

If u travel with a budget its definitely a good option but dont expect too much. The hostel is good located and extremely cheap for Uruguay. The mattress are hard and old, the kitchen well equipped. The shower has hot water. Staff is super helpful and friendly.

Now I understand why the name is trip. Lot of smokers there. Alot of long term guests. Was told not allowed to bring in alcohol from outside yet everyone else was. Partying most nights. Quiet hours 2am till 10am very late at night and even then not respected by anyone

The bed has a very thin mattress. I could feel the boards underneath, it wasn't bad enough to make it a bad night, but it's something to improve.

The hostel is close to many main attractions and easy to get to. The facilities are okay for what you pay for, and the neighborhood is safe.

As a female solo traveler, I didn't like the atmosphere when I arrived at the hostel. There were barely any women staying there and it wasn't very clean. I stayed in two different dorms and on my second night there was a party going on until 3am, so I couldn't sleep until it was finished.

The hostel was quite cheap for Punta del Este and the location was great.

You can't really meet other travelers here as this is place is where people that work in Punta del Este live, so don't expect a backpackers spot here at all. Everyone is on their own business and as a traveler you feel like this is not the place to be.

After seeing that kind of amazing bar, when you go uo and see the rooms, it’s kind of disappointing. Too many people in very small rooms.

Some toilets could be cleaner especially the upper floor. Unfortunately i was bitten by unknown bugs/spiders? on bed. And cause big swelling. Kindly sanitize the room properly.
