GermanyI was rather disappointed with the restaurant area as it lacks any character and does little to spoil the guest. This could definitely be improved upon.
Brilliant location, epspecially higher floors offer beautiful views of the city. The hotel is rather dated but still manages to maintain a classy look. Rooms are spacious and are spotlessly clean. The gym area is an absolute rock star. Well equipped and maintained, kudos for this. Also the pool area stands out and helps you relax after a long journey.

Costa RicaCrowded on breakfast time, since I was alone had to wait that every group, family and couple were accommodated to a table even if I arrived 15 minutes before if them. It is crazy! I understand a table for 4, but not for two, so, my walk time was affected by the incompetence of the people choosing who to seat first! Unbelievable, you rent a suite and expect the rest of the service as good as what you booked! Also the rooms need renovation. Not where to plug your phone in the room, had to disconnect a lamp.
The swimming pool, location is hood too.

United KingdomWe walked up to the hotel from the harbour in the early evening, and approached the hotel from the back/casino end, which was unsettling with numerous intoxicated people trying to help with our bags and offering services. Would advise using a taxi and being dropped off at the entrance on the main square.
Great location (front to hotel) on the main square of the old town. Friendly staff and great breakfast served on the top floor with views over the harbour. Great swimming pool, spa and gym … with an indoor running track.

UruguayThe only glitch we encountered was at check-in. We arrived early (14¨00 or thereabouts) and logically the room was not ready, we knew it and planned actually to have lunch outside. The staff was very attentive and we were able to park the car and go to have lunch uneventfully. Coming back at 15 (the advertised check-in time) the room was not yet ready. We asked again at 16 and it was not ready. The hotel provided just a couple of inexpensive drinks. Finally, the room was ready at 16:30 at which time we were able to check-in. All in all, we`ve lost 2 hours of our stay. We asked for a late checkout, which they said was impossible, or for a partial refund, which they also denied. I find this a mean attitude from such a prestigious brand, so I warn travelers of the fact that they don't always comply with the requests that have been paid for.
The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, workspace, and a breakfast table with a very cozy and stylish pair of chairs. Save for some small details, the furniture was upscale and very pleasant to the eyes, besides being useful. The view was spectacular, with a close view of the Palacio Salvo and the presidential offices. The river was also visible. The breakfast was very good (weak on the pastry side though) and served on the 25th floor (the Arcadia restaurant) with simply breathtaking views. regretfully not open for dining. All in all, very worth the money.
