Great location huge room very friendly staff and great breakfast

We stayed at the start and again at the end of our trip through Montevideo, and Quijano was the perfect place to start and end our trip. The service was exceptional, from the owner, to the reception, to the breakfast attendant. The rooms were clean and spacious, and upgraded. The kitchen was nice to have available. Lastly, the location is ideal for restaurants and shopping. Highly recommeded!

This hotel is in a great location for walking around the city centre of Monte Video, and you can easily get a bus into the old town. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, and a cafe directly opposite. There is a continental breakfast option at the hotel, which was ok. The room we had booked was a good size and a bit basic.

Expect a lot of noise, from the loud air conditioning to buzzing appliances to street noise. It is in the central district.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, with hot water and good water pressure. We found it to be in a very good location. The staff was excellent- friendly and very helpful as we learned our way around the city and attended a variety of Carnaval events. The breakfast was standard fare- Coffee, bakery items, cereal, yogurt, cheese & ham, fruit. We stayed at the hotel twice. The first visit we had a room on the 4th floor with a small balcony that looked out onto a leafy tree lined street and in the mornings there was some noise from the street- not a problem for us. The room was a little small. The second visit we had a larger room on the 4th floor. No balcony, but very quiet. Both rooms had small kitchens. Across the street there is an incredible bakery.

Great location, friendly staff, clean room

This was supposed to be an apartment. Actually, it's a small room long room that uses a bookcase-type free closet to separate the tiny kitchen from the area with the beds. You could barely walk past the beds or between the beds. The doors to the rooms are so thin and non-secure, plywood-type, Home Depot in US sells them for $30, doors that you could listen to the people in the hallway like they were next to you. They do not clean the room unless you ask for service or so we thought. We stayed there 4 days, and on the 3rd day we told the staff that we would like our room to be cleaned and replenished the amenities, primarily toilet paper. I told them three times to different people. We arrived late on the third day only to find the room as we left. We didn't even have toilet paper. Usually, hotels have a second roll in the bathroom closet but not this hotel. There was tissue paper or a small waste basket in the room and you had to go to the bathroom to throw away any garbage we had. The staff was very apologetic and they gave us what we asked...but having asked 3 times and different people about the room, yet nothing was done, this, to me, indicates either indifference or incompetence from management. Misleading info about the hotel. This hotel should 1 star, 2 max. Pricy for what you are getting. Will not stay in this hotel again.

Great location and very friendly staff

Well situated for the centre of Montevideo. A nice food store nearby as well as friendly neighbourhood cafes. A very good bakery right opposite the hotel.

I think they are about to do some decorating and improvements - this might make some noise but I didn’t experience this.

Good breakfast and located in a pleasant part of Montevideo. Friendly staff.

The room was a bit dull. A long narrow room, not super clean.
