The location is very central and the kitchen is excellent for making any type of meal. Great vibes overall, and I enjoyed the view of the city from the rooftop

More shelving in the bed would be nice for small items.

Vibes are immaculate. Comfortable beds, private, good showers, good common area with pool table and bar. Staff are fun and encourage a social atmosphere

Carpet in the room could do with a clean and the shower in the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, but not a massive issue.

Excellent location, twin room was large, good social area, whatsapp group to join, different activities throughout the week. Good size breakfast. Washing service.

Didn’t like that the bed bunks are combined (4 beds in one bunk bed with a division in the middle). So you are almost sleeping next to someone and can hear/feel everything. The door lock did not work properly and also some parts of the hostel really need to be cleaned better (inside of the room was always ok though - just the common areas deserved better)

Location and staff were def the highlight of the place. Really centric and great, however downtown in the weekends at night can get really empty and sketchy but otherwise works great. Staff were amazing too as they helped me book a tour and with so many questions - really nice. The building is also quite cool but need some remodeling.

No backpack atmospher when I was here. They don't do activities like in the other Viajero so it's very quiet and you don't meet lot of people. The bed I was the first night had a very strong smell of weed, like if someone smoked in it and now the matress smell of it. I changed bed the next night and problem was solved 🙂

Location right in the old town. The cinema room where I spent my nights ^^ Staff is very helpfull. It's a cute place.

Maybe I’m asking too much but I wished they had 100% cotton sheets and also that they didn’t use too much chemical detergents to clean. Polyester and other synthetics(microplastics) give me skin ache and nose allergy. Also think they’re trying to get things clean using strong detergents but strong smells give me headaches.

Nice size private room with a mini fridge. Well equipped kitchen and the breakfast which was additional had a good amount of food. Good location and can rent bikes for the day to explore

One weird thing - the shower cabin in our room had a glass see-through wall, which meant that people couldn't be upstairs if you wanted your privacy. I'm surprised that this hasn't been covered by some wallpaper from the outside or by some other type of glass.

The hostel and the staff are amazing!!! We stayed only for one night and didn't go out clubbing, but for day sightseeing the location is great because it's close to the market and the central square. People working in the hostel are very friendly, helpful, and speak good English. The hostel also provides water cooler in the kitchen so you can refill your water bottle.

The only issues I had was that they did not have daily activities in the hostal as other viajero’ do.

The best part of the hostel is the building it self which is beautiful right in the city center close to all major attractions. I reserved a single private room and was placed on a beautiful duplex.

Viajero Montevideo does not disappoint. Great location, just a few steps away from plaza Independencia. It’s very clean, the staff is very nice, bunks are comfortable. There are plenty of coworking spaces around the hostel. Good kitchen.

The bathroom in the room is big but not so clean. It should be cleaned more than once a day because it's one bathroom for many people in one room.

Common areas are nice and big. It has a very nice terrace with an excellent view. Bed are also good and comfortable.

Very noisy on the weekend, from 10pm till 6am. Don’t count on getting any sleep if your room is from the street side.

Top bed had nothing on top to cover it, the ceiling was much high, so every time someone switched on a light, it wakes you up! even when it's only the small reading lamp by the bed, this one is so aggressive!

The building is beautiful and very well located in the historic city centre. As a downside, it's noisy. There is a lift but once I tried to call it and nothing happened, not always working. In the female dorm, the bathroom was huge! lots of space. Beds were stable and did not squeak! Private storage under bottom bed.
