How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not allowed to use front entrance because i have a small dog. I have been in many motels and hotels in IL, and MO. Never did I have to use a side entrance because of my pet. I paid plenty to have hm stay there. Will never stay there again because of that.

Wasn’t impressed with the room. The pictures doesn’t do it justice and very deceiving when looking at the rooms online. Had a very musty smell to it and water running down the windows on the outside from the unit above. Found hair in the bathtub.

Verified reviewThe place was horrendous. The location is slightly hidden behind other businesses, and upon further inspection, I completely understood why. The place looks fit for a sleezy 5 and dime.
The staff were friendly while running my credit card. Upon inspection of the rooms, I refused to allow my family to stay in a place that was so disgustingly filthy. I've never been to a place as filthy as this. Stains all in the sheets, lamp shades dirty, shower ceiling falling apart, the room had a stench. I demanded my money back, refusing to stay and the rude manager on staff (some Latina with bright red hair) was rude, dismissive, and denied returning my money. BTW, the pool looked like a swamp and the lights were turned off. I guess to hide the filth.

I observed roaches, and other bugs. The bedding was low quality. There was an unpleasant odor, water stains on the ceiling and lamp, one ply toilet paper, and the staff was rarely available at the front desk.

Hot tub did not work. Told staff, they responded with "We just had a customer 4 days no complaint." What does that have to do with my hot tub not working? I asked for another king-size bed room, they said it's the only one. I asked for a discount, they encouraged me to leave the hotel and ask booking.com for a refund. I found that to be distasteful and rude, however we left to find a different hotel. Extremely rude considering we are the ones who paid for the hotel and are still getting the run around. 7/25 edit: No plumber was called or an attempt made when I told staff our tub was broken. My wife made an employee sign a sheet from her computer twice to show we stayed there to begin with because guess what? Our refund was denied because the property claimed we were a no show. Then guess what? Sir the hotel filed a complaint against you for "verbal abuse". My 1st anniversary was thrown into the gutter, no one made any attempt to meet me half way, I was TOLD to leave and get a refund through booking.com, now I can't get it because the hotel refuses to release the funds? First it was, we didn't show up, now it's "abusive language". I told booking.com to check the hotel cameras and see my attempt to resolve the issue. Nothing has happened. Tell your hotel to refund my money, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Verified reviewBeds were comfortable but could have fresher sheets. Location was good for our visit. Breakfast was minimal but okay. Requested handicapped and 1st floor room but the only handicapped room was not available. First floor location was good.
First day we had a overflowing toilet that we had to plunge to fix. Toilet/bathtub room was much to small. Very difficult to exit space with door closed. Could be a safety hazard. Third and last night there was a constant THUMP, THUMP sound coming from outside room. Kept us awake and we left the hotel at 4:30am.

We were told the pool was working but when we went to get in it seemed there was an oil? On the top of the water and the water itself was so foggy/murky we couldnt see the bottom of the 3 ft side and it was freezing. We didnt even wanna get in. The room wasn't awful but there was some type of residue? Oil or something on the nightstands which was concerning. And the carpets felt damp? Idk how else to describe that. The bathroom had tile and for some reason evertime we went in whether we used the toilet or shower or not there was water only in the grout in the center of the bathroom? Not coming from the tub and not coming from the toilet. I have no idea where it was coming from i thought i was going crazy lol. I tried to check out to get my receipt and rang their lil bell twice and ended up just leaving cause no one said hang on or be right there or nothing I heard no movement. My Bf forgot something in the room and he had to go back to get the key and the lady just happened to be in there and asked if "the girl in the black shirt needed me?" And if she knew what I was wearing she must've SEEN me on the camera or something so why couldn't she step out to help me? Very rude. But they did give us an extra blanket but was very concerned as to why we would need a second extra pillow so they only gave us one? The breakfast was a waffle maker, frosted flakes and Raisin Bran, vanilla yogurt, white/wheat toast, apples, oatmeal packets, coffee, and orange juice. If you need a cheap place to stay and dont necessarily care about the highest quality its fine. It's a cheap hotel theyre all like this lol
