Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNoise from elevator and loud people hanging out in the halls. Teenagers. I mean a little is to be expected but they were noisy and in hall for about 2 hrs. Bars and restaurants close to early. No microwave and website needs updates on parking

United KingdomDespite attempting to book a day or so in advance there were no tables at the huge main restaurant, the Elliot Aster, which appeared to be extremely popular with locals. We were initially told they held some tables back for hotel guests but on arrival there were none, and it wasn't really feasible for us to eat elsewhere. We did eventually get two seats in the bar area at a high table. We had to wait a while for service (even a drink) and then the waiter perhaps inadvisably and rather condescendingly said he was sure he could "persuade the kitchen to cook us something" - A little bit galling when the total bill for our one night stay came to around $900. However, he turned out to be a very friendly and attentive server so we put it down to a joke gone wrong. His comment was also mitigated by the superb food he delivered. I had spaghetti bolognaise (ragu style) which was as good as any I had had in Bologna, Italy, just a month earlier.
We loved the "Southern" ambience of this hotel, which you don't often get these days. Very high standard of room décor and facilities, particularly in the bathroom which was well appointed with an all marble finish and pleasant toiletries etc. The compulsory $40 "resort fee" was a surprise and I thought an annoying addition to the rate as we didn't intend to use the beach or pool etc, BUT it turned out to be excellent value as we had nearly $100 worth of free cocktails and fast broadband included. The staff at the Veranda bar were excellent. Mike, I think his name was, even demonstrated how he "smoked" our cocktails at the table when I asked how it was done. Service well beyond expectations. Restaurant food excellent, (though see below).

United StatesThe only downside was the high priced dinner at their restaurant. Also, I would add some warmth to the restaurant- maybe plants and comfortable chairs- to add to the ambiance…
We had a great time at the Vinoy just before Christmas. It was beautifully decorated in the lobby, and we loved sitting in the comfortable chairs on the porch having pre- dinner drinks. Also sitting at the pool was so relaxing . The location is perfect-across from the bay and downtown. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the kind man who waited on our table in the restaurant.

United StatesThey were still under construction due to damage from the hurricane, so when trying to enjoy the jacuzzi all I could hear was sawing and this was at 7pm Friday evening so I wasn't expecting that. Also my mini frig wasn't working and I called for them to come check it out and no one ever came.
Room was clean and neat, staff was friendly and helpful, everything was wonderful and food at Paul's was very good. I also had spa services that were amazing, a massage and a facial.

United StatesFood selection was limited and quality mediocre. LYout of the property is very confusing with multiple towers spewed out all over, each with own elevators (which are tiny) forcing you to navigate a labyrinth to get from one place to another for example from our room to the restaurant we had to take a set of stairs down (no ramp or ADA accommodation there that we could find) hike down a hallway then take a ticked away elevation back up to same level we started but in a different section of the property we couldn’t reach otherwise. And although the room was nice it wasn’t worth the approx $500 a night we paid
Beautiful classic architecture, super comfortable bed, modern remodel, waterside location, very nice staff, availability of room service, nice pool

United StatesThe restaurant. The decor was not inviting at all, reminiscent of a hospital cafeteria and the menu extremely limited. With all the competition you have just down the street, I feel you are missing an opportunity to bring more customers in. Why not add some charm and coziness to the place (like the rest of the hotel) and expand the menu.
The friendliness of the staff, everyone went out of their way to be helpful.
