The breakfast was adequate. The room was cramped and the view was the front porch.

This is an older home on a wide but quiet street. My room, dubbed Hydrangea, was spacious including a private bathroom with shower, a very comfy bed, a small desk, an armchair and minifridge. There is also access to a kitchen. Although there was no active reception when I arrived, calling the first of several phone numbers prominently displayed yielded the friendly innkeeper who "walked" me through to the room. The innkeeper cooked a tasty breakfast in the morning. Overall, this was a pleasant change from the cookie-cutter motels you find at the highway interchanges.

A minor nit: I would have preferred an earlier breakfast, and the innkeeper offered to get it done, but I opted to make it work at the standard time. The bed was indeed comfy, and it was nice to sleep in.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating; breakfast was great. We stayed because of the relative proximity to Ricketts Glen, one of our favorite hiking spots.

The room was a little outdated, towels were sparse, and the first floor bathroom blinds had gaps in them. The shower head was dirty.

Saydi is an excellent Inn Keeper. Very welcoming and a joy to talk to. There were complimentary home baked goods and refreshments available in the lounge and the whole place felt like a home away from home. It contributed positively to an emotionally difficult journey and provided comfort and kindness in the fine details. Breakfasts varied and were delicious! So much so I have come home and made the recipe for my own family. Parking on site. Room was spacious and stacked with everything needed. Perfect small town, quiet, comfortable and close to my heart! Thank you Saydi for the hard work you put in.

    That I couldn't stay longer!

Location as family members of mine own the Forge Pub & Eatery.

It was ok as I was solo on this trip. A light sleeper like my wife would have struggled hearing every footstep and flush from above. A bit warm as well with no ability to adjust a thermostat.

Never stayed in a B&B before and The White Birch Inn exceeded my expectations. Comfortable bed. Located in very convenient area and quiet neighborhood. Saydi was very pleasant, accommodating and prepared us a sumptuous breakfast. I recommend staying in this B&B when you're in the area.

Although the bed was very comfortable and a fan was on when we got to our room I couldn't get a good night sleep because their was no air-conditioning available in the room.

Pretty close to the highway and very close to all the wonderful historic buildings in the main center.

    Not close to many restaurants.

    Convenient location

Hydrangea room is lovely, but was a bit difficult to navigate the layout for seniors. Outside entry stairs were not difficult to walk up, but it would have been wonderful to have had a ramp to roll the suitcases up the staircase to the first floor, again for senior visitors. Was not familiar from the website that a larger suite may have been available.

The Inn is in a good location and easy to find. My husband is somewhat disabled so we were happy to find the entrance steps easy to navigate. Our room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable. There is a mini fridge in the room which was nice.

The Inn Keeper is somewhat new to the job. She was very nice but a little unorganized. Breakfast was served on time and was just so so. She serves a beautiful fruit salad every morning. One morning was egg cups that we did not like served with pancakes. The second day was quiche which wasn't bad and the third day was a French toast loaf with cream cheese and raspberry filling. Again so so. She did not have enough for everyone to enjoy sausage and the bacon was served late every day. The room could have been cleaned better. Mirrors were streaked and I found a wayward sock from a previous guest.

The roomm was comfortable with a private bathroom with shower.

The heat was not on when I arrived which made the area as cold or colder that outside. Finally someone arrived and showed me where to turn the heat. I would have appreciated a later check out time.

Simple place in a rural town clean rooms friendly staff which was also fine with me arriving late

its basically a normal house which is re-used as an Inn. Nothing wrong about this but you have to be aware what you will get.
