Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe bathroom has zero room to put your things, no true vanity. The room we were in was at the end of the hallway and you can hear noise and vacuuming in the rooms next door and the hallway. I would recommend ear plugs for a quiet slumber if you sleep later than 8am.
Location is key! Midway point between Fenway and Tiffany’s! Everything is walkable. All three doorman that we encountered were amazing and kind!

United KingdomI asked for a small jug of fresh milk for the room for my tea but they didn’t have any to give in the afternoon and to go to a 7-Eleven, they only have fresh milk in the morning which I found very a bit strange! The air conditioning was really noisy, no different fan levels, I would have had windows open instead but on main road so also noisy, the AC noise did affect our sleep.
The location was great, really close to restaurants, shops and park, lovely building, very nicely decorated rooms, clean.

ItalyA bit expensive the car park. Should arrange something more convenient and cheaper and at least direct clients to the ones close to the hotel as an alternative
Lovely location. Also very cosy the room and the property. Would definitively return back

United StatesThe exhaust fan in the bathroom was weak, so in order to avoid all the mirrors fogging up we had to leave the bathroom door ajar while showering. A small inconvenience, but nonetheless, a stronger exhaust fan would be an improvement.
Location to Newbury Street, Fenway Park and the T. and the welcome water with chocolate chip cookies!

A charming and pleasant surprise: The 9th floor room had cushioned and curtained window seats providing a charming view. Really nice decor.

IrelandOur breakfast was included in our stay, when we arrived for breakfast the waiter said if we wanted cappuccinos or a different type of coffee just to ask - we ordered a cappuccino and latte - but also received a bill for $14 for same! I felt they should have pointed out that this incurred an extra cost - I felt we were paying enough for our stay that this irked me. Prior to receiving this bill the waitress gave us a bill for breakfast (it was $0.00 as it was included) but the purpose of the bill was for a tip, with a 20% tip being the suggested tip. As breakfast was a self service buffet I felt this was again a bit irksome. The only time the waitress came to our table was to deliver the bill for a tip(apart from when we later ordered drinks!!) We had stayed in other hotels on our trip(which were less expensive) and where breakfast was included and the waiting staff did not expect tips. I have to say it took from our experience at the hotel which was otherwise excellent!
Great location, beautiful suite for family of 4, breakfast included. Very easy to access lots of attractions from the hotel. The suite was very spacious and comfortable and perfect for 2 adults and 2 children.

ItalyIn one of the rooms we booked the A/C was very noisy like a vacuum cleaner kind of thing and staff explained us that in some rooms the systems have not been updated. What bothered our big family is the breakfast service. It was very chaotic with food finishing multiple times in one morning and us having to wait for eggs or bacon for a while. Also in this level of the hotel I would expect being able to choose a hot drink apart from filtered one and the tea. Cappuccino was charged apart of a 22$ breakfast. Also on the four mornings we were their the choice on food never changed even a little bit and was limited to begin with (no vegetables whatsoever, only melon, apples and clementines for fruit), no chocolate paste for your croissants, no peanut butter, no dried fruits or nuts for your yogurt.
Historical building with a old school design. Our 1 bedroom room was very spacious for a family of four. We enjoyed UNI restaurant for dinner (especially crab flies rice!). Very good location close to anywhere we wanted to go in Boston either by foot or using a well connected transportation from there.

United KingdomI found it disappointing that they leave a nice hotel branded teddy bear in the room and then charge you $35 dollars for it. This is complimentary in any other ‘5 star’ hotel I’ve stayed in so I left it behind. 😢 Plug points were hopeless. Hairdryer etc wouldn’t stay in the wall & kept falling out. Was very annoying.
Great location. Comfortable room. Clean, spacious.
