How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast was ok, not great.
Rooms were a good size, clean. Cable had plenty of channels. Staff was friendly and accomplished our request for a quiet part of the property since we have trouble sleeping.

There were a ton of locks the cards were not always easy - I saw quite a few struggle with entrance- the pool although appeared clean had hair in it . The breakfast didn’t offer enough choices like yogurt and other fruits it was all carbs…
The location was good - they had a rooms to accommodate large families

The room was big but didn't have a luggage rack and there was definitely closet room for an extra closet rod and no spot for a towel rack in the bathroom
The room was clean and the location is great as far as walking distance to nearby stores. Island Queen is about a mile walk which saves on parking.

Staff was very nice. Continental Breakfast is good for young families, not what we like to eat. Pool area was nice. We were with a large group for an offsite wedding. This was much cheaper then the wedding venue hotel. We really didn't spend much time there but it was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast never changed, all white carbs. Other than a pre-made egg patty there were no protein choices available. Only apples for fruit. Very limited and less than healthy options. Breakfast room was clean and well tended. The outdoor pool too cold to enjoy. The indoor pool was warmer, usually busy.
Staff were positive, friendly and helpful. Rooms and public areas were modest but clean and well supplied.

Free breakfast was rough. Our room key cards kept becoming invalid. Parking was tight, but worked out.
Pool was nice and clean, beds were comfortable.

We booked the room through booking.com and when we tried to check in they hadn’t received the money from the company so they wouldn’t let us check in. So they made it sound like it was my fault somehow. It was crazy. Two hours later we finally got out key. We were ready to leave and stay somewhere else. Then found out they charged me yet again for the room and I was so tired and frustrated by then. Got that money back the next day. They were rude. Didn’t even offer a discount. Wouldn’t stay again.
The view is like a river. Kinda smelly. Can’t open the windows and no deck. There isn’t a decent walkway for outside. It was very loud the first night as two functions were going on.

Room showed signs of needing more finishing. Ceiling had chipping/hole. Leaves piled up at door got tracked in. Sheet had a stain on it. Overall property clean; signs of remodeling in progress around. Some short cuts keep it from being alittle more upscale.
Convenient, everything worked.

Had a view of pool but had to walk throughout the establishment to get to it/ but once there kids loved it
Clean and excellent staff - needed the King suite with King bed and 2 queen beds - didn’t realize the king bed was upstairs and my husband is handicapped - had trouble going up and down stairs

The staff at the breakfast were so rude and not helpful. There were parts of the hotel that needed updating like the work out room, some hallways, etc.
The pool was nice and the rooms were updated.

The king bed was very uncomfortable. And had two twin size pillows on the bed. The room smelled moldy.

The T.V. In the upstairs room didn’t work.

The air conditioning in our loft bedroom was too noisy. The only way to put it in night mode was through a remote control that was missing so we had to turn it off in order to sleep.
