stayed at this hostel in Venice Beach and honestly had a great experience. As a solo female traveler visiting for the first time, I felt completely safe, even though I’d initially been nervous after hearing there were a lot of homeless people in the area—they really kept to themselves. The location is perfect, with everything within walking distance. The sleeping pods were incredibly comfortable, and I slept so well. The people I met were so friendly and welcoming. I truly had a blast, and I’m leaving with a bit of nostalgia for the amazing memories made here. I would definitely stay again.

My time there the age group was 40+. As a 25 year old that wasn’t optimal but it’s more expensive then other places so that probably why.

I liked absolutely everything - the friendly staff, the people who stayed there seemed to have been selected among the best people, the incredibly beautiful location on one of the best beaches where something fun and exciting is always happening. A big bonus is that the staff offers bicycles and longboards that you can use for free.

Absolutely loved everything about this hostel experience, wish I could have stayed longer! Located perfectly right at the beach and near enough all the Venice attractions/restaurants. I felt warmly welcomed from the first moment I checked in as I got a tour around the house by the friendly staff. Everything was kept tidy and everyone I met was nice and friendly. I felt like it was a great mix of socializing and having the own space to relax. Completely different experience to an usual hostel experience and I loved everything about it.

Lawrence was super welcoming. The atmosphere is very relaxed with lots of lovely large open spaces. Not crowded like other hostels, much more like a house share. The beds were very comfortable and the location is amazing! Oh and hazelnut coffee in the morning-delicious. I’ll be back for sure!

Nothing, everything was great. For the amount on guests presents, maybe 2 bikes is a bit short in number? But actually is already a great extra service, so thanks for that. Would be great to be able to leave the suitcase few hours without paying extra 30dollars, but I understand is part of the business :)

such a nice vibe the place is perfect for any kind of stay whether you're only passing by few days or even on a couple of week. Great atmosphere, Staff always available and the bikes are a great support !

That i couldn't stay longer!

This was the best hostel i've stayed in,relaxing pods vibe and so spacious i really felt at home straight away. I'd recommend this area if your planning to visit Santa Monica. Bus is walking distance that takes you to the pier in 20 ish minutes. The metro at Downtown Santa monica can then take you pretty much anywhere else in LA. Also the type of guests were more alike myself and less party vibe which I actually managed to have decent chats with. Highly Recommend Stay Open Venice!

Facilities need a little updating but are functional and convenient. Not much else I didn't like.

Location! Comfy pods. Organized facility. Each person has their own space for things in fridge and storage which is great. Felt welcome and comfortable! The sunset from the rooftop is amazing! Guests and staff are quiet and I loved the vibe of the music during the day. Definitely felt safe. Will stay again. :)

I loved the serene environment and thoughtful amenities. The free bikes were a fantastic touch, making it easy to explore the area. The working space with monitors was perfect for staying productive, and the shared kitchen was clean and well-equipped for meal prep. There was also a screen available for watching movies or shows, which was a nice bonus for downtime. The addition of fun items like balls for outdoor games added a playful element to the stay. I also appreciated the up-to-date and modern approach to operating the doors and locks, which added convenience and security. Overall, the combination of comfort, convenience, and unique offerings made this a truly memorable experience!

Amazing, comfortable and cozy stay in Venice. Perfect place to chill, meditate and get some work done. The location is right on the beach which provides amazing views. The pods are super comfortable and very inclusive for privacy. The rooftop view for Sunsets are a must! I look forward to returning in the near future.
